Samantha Hartill

With nearly a decade of experience, Samantha “Siwei” Hartill, CPA, has built a successful career in finance and operations. Since 2022, she has served as the vice president of finance and operations at Huali Floors, where she has played a key role in the company’s global expansion, operational stabilization, and sustainable growth. Under her leadership, Huali Floors achieved over 50% growth in 2024, with similar growth anticipated this year and projections of 30% to 40% for the following year. Her responsibilities include overseeing all operations between sales and manufacturing, highlighting her comprehensive expertise in the industry.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Hartill gained significant experience through key positions in finance and operations. In 2022, she briefly served as interim controller for European operations at OTR Wheel Engineering Inc., managing financial functions across Europe. That same year, she was senior director of accounting, finance, and IT at CFL Flooring, where she streamlined financial processes and improved technological integration.

From 2021 to 2022, Ms. Hartill served as vice president and corporate controller at PolyVision, where she implemented effective financial strategies to support corporate objectives. Additionally, she spent nearly a decade as international accounting director at Shaw Industries Group Inc. from 2012 to 2021. In this role, her background in international business was instrumental as she effectively communicated with business leaders and introduced innovative ideas for growth. Beyond her corporate achievements, she has demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit by founding the West Cobb International Friends and Families Group from 2018 to 2020, fostering community connections and cultural engagement. She also dedicates her time to diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Ms. Hartill laid an academic foundation, earning a Bachelor of Arts in international business administration with a minor in international trade from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics in 1998 and a master’s degree in accounting from UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business, earned in 2011. She also holds the Certified Public Accountant designation and is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration at Quantic School of Business and Technology. Additionally, recognizing her contributions to academia and professional excellence, she is a recipient of a fellowship from UNC Charlotte.

Reflecting on her path, Ms. Hartill has embraced her entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, consistently developing business concepts and engaging in independent ventures. She has always understood the social responsibility of businesses, recognizing their profound impact on communities and their human connections. Upon moving to the United States, she began her career in the mortgage industry, where she achieved significant success despite having no prior experience or formal training in the field. When the recession hit, she lost her job but quickly pivoted to accounting, leveraging her natural aptitude for numbers and her background in international business.

This transition led Ms. Hartill to a role at Shaw Industries, where she stood out as a non-traditional finance professional. She demonstrated her ability to bridge financial expertise with business strategy, effectively communicating with leaders and contributing innovative ideas for growth. Her proactive approach and global perspective placed her years ahead of the curve, and her role involved extensive travel and intimate engagement in the business’s operations.

Looking ahead, Ms. Hartill prioritizes establishing a nonprofit organization to support those in need. She also plans to further develop Huali Floors, expanding its community impact while pursuing her goal of launching her own business. Additionally, she is considering writing a book to share her insights and experiences. Moreover, her aspirations include securing a board position to leverage her expertise in assisting struggling businesses, reflecting her commitment to making a meaningful impact across multiple endeavors. Born in Tianjin, Ms. Hartill balances her career with a fulfilling personal life alongside her spouse and their two children.
