Patricia “Pat” Settar is a realtor and broker associate of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach Realtors, where she has been a team member since 2008. At Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach Realtors, Ms. Settar specializes in all aspects of residential real estate sales and listings, including new construction and relocation. Serving clients in several New Jersey communities, she works with first-time and transitional buyers to guide them through the process and find the perfect home for their needs.
Before entering the real estate industry, Ms. Settar spent 15 years as a professional travel agent, a position that allowed her to develop her sales and customer service skills in addition to cultivating a deep knowledge of the industry. Her initial interest in real estate began with a desire to transition into a field where she could have the opportunity to use her customer service and sales skills while potentially only working part-time. While she had anticipated exploring real estate investment or property flipping with her husband, a master carpenter, she quickly fell in love with the industry and its unique opportunities to impact others.
In 1999, Ms. Settar became a certified accredited buyer representative, and in 2003, she earned her certified residential specialist credential. She was awarded a New Jersey real estate broker license in 2006 and went on to earn an additional certified relocation professional credential. Her passion for her work has driven her to pursue additional professional education, including education in staging homes and working with buyers with specific needs, such as first-time property buyers.
Ms. Settar became a broker associate of Coldwell Banker Elite in 2004, and in 2008, she joined her current team at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach Realtors. At Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach Realtors, she has developed a reputation for positivity and attention to detail, as well as a deep knowledge of the areas she covers. Her philosophy is “I’m not first, you are!” and she approaches each sale as a way of building local neighborhoods and helping buyers find not just a property but a community.
Ms. Settar’s work consists of client meetings, consultations, and appointments with other professionals throughout the home staging and closing process. She is proud to mentor a team of realtors at Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach Realtors who together represent a full spectrum of residential properties, from high-end rentals to luxury single-family homes. In recognition of her high achievement and professional excellence, Ms. Settar has been named a Platinum member of the New Jersey Board of Realtors; a member of the Distinguished Sales Club, recognizing more than 10 years of million-dollar sales; and is a five-time winner of the NJAR Circle of Excellence Award.
Ms. Settar is an active member of numerous community and educational organizations, including the Harrison Township Beautification Committee, the Harrison Township Economic Development Committee, and the Harrison Township Recreational Committee, and has served as a Girl Scouts of America troop leader and adult volunteer since 1993. She credits her success in real estate to her ability to build connections, her passion for helping others, and the unflagging support of her husband and three daughters. When she is not working, Ms. Settar enjoys reading, spending time on the beach with her family and her dog, and attending concerts. She looks forward to continuing to lead her team at Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach in the coming years and staying at the leading edge of her field, working with her team and mentees to be aware of trends, needs, and opportunities.
