Attributing much of her success to the support of the people she works with, as well as being a problem solver, Nicole J. Pingleton holds considerable expertise in line management and resourcing. She began her studies at the University of Kansas in 1997, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in health information management in 2001. During this time, she supported her education by working as a lifeguard and swim instructor with the Jayhawk Club; the head lifeguard for the Robinson Natatorium at the University of Kansas; and, briefly, as a law clerk for Butt, Thornton & Baehr PC. Subsequently completing an internship at the University of New Mexico Hospital in 2001, she served as an underwriter for CNA Insurance from 2001 to 2004 and as a risk management data specialist for the University of Kansas Hospital from 2004 to 2005.
In 2005, Ms. Pingleton joined PRA Health Sciences, where she spent the next 11 years as a senior country startup specialist and concurrently served as an in-house clinical research associate and in a startup lead position. In 2016, she joined both Chiltern International and Covance as a clinical operations manager. Leaving Chiltern in 2018, she remains with Covance, now known as Labcorp Drug Development, as a line manager, where her duties include managing and resourcing for her department, meeting with project teams to allocate resources, and attending meetings to give reports on work status. In 2021, Ms. Pingleton achieved Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification to further her skills in the field.
Having accomplished much throughout the years, Ms. Pingleton considers the highlight of her career to be achieving the position of line manager, which was one of her longstanding career goals. Additionally, in the last year, she created several initiatives within her department to aid in departmental growth and process improvement. Looking toward the future, Ms. Pingleton hopes to continue to grow professionally and rise to associate director and director positions, either in clinical operations or another department, in order to provide mentorship and guidance to others.
