Becky J. Waldron of Montgomery, Texas, is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with proven performance prowess as an enterprise account executive with Dragos. She is devoted to introducing companies, government entities, cities, and municipalities to the importance of operational technology and cybersecurity. Ms. Waldron effectively educates them on potential threats and tailors solutions to meet their needs.
Since the inception of Dragos, an operational technology cybersecurity firm, Ms. Waldron has been an integral part of raising industry standards and advancing the cause of building a safer, more stable, and secure infrastructure. The mission of Dragos is to ensure that citizens maintain stable access to clean water, air, and electricity, defending vital infrastructure from cyber-attacks. Ms. Waldron credits her success to her strong work ethic and ability to celebrate small victories. She takes pride and satisfaction in her ability to quickly transition between industries and simplify complex information about operational technology and cybersecurity. Her adaptability, drive, and talent for sales have allowed her to build a thriving career in multiple industries.
Initially working in the oil and gas industry, Ms. Waldron was motivated to find a new career path when facing volatility in the field. Regarding technology as more stable, she shifted her focus and is now a member of Women in CyberSecurity, which seeks to recruit and advance the careers of women in this competitive and often male-dominated specialty. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to continual learning and professional growth, noting that she has gained most of her knowledge through self-education and on-the-job experience. In 2003, Ms. Waldron prepared well for her journey at Blinn College in Texas, earning an associate degree in chemistry and an additional associate degree in business administration and management. In 2015, she graduated from the Arizona-based University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management.
Highly resourceful, inventive, and proactive, Ms. Waldron is always seeking innovative solutions to problems. With a long-standing interest in equestrianism, she founded EquiHalo Equestrian LLC in 2020 and holds a patent for a 3D-printed helmet visor, which provides additional shade and avoids obstructing the rider’s view. In addition, she launched the EquiHalo Equestrian Apparel line and the EquiHalo Equestrian Import business that brings horses from Spain to the United States. Notably, Ms. Waldron credits her skill as a salesperson to her experience in equestrianism, as she learned how to market her ideas and highlight a value proposition to potential customers.
Prior to her current role at Dragos, Ms. Waldron worked as an account manager for Imperva, another cybersecurity firm. Between 2015 and 2020, she secured a wealth of experience in multiple positions with DYOPATH, including serving as a strategic account manager, senior account executive, and channel sales manager. She began her career in 2003 as a procurement specialist for Schlumberger, where she spent more than five years as an accounts payable specialist, financial reporting professional, executive assistant, and marketing coordinator. In 2010, Ms. Waldron became the marketing coordinator and corporate office manager for Inland Pipe Rehabilitation, and in 2012, she transitioned to working for Centre Technologies as a marketing specialist.
Ms. Waldron reflects that, throughout her career, she has developed a stronger moral compass that governs her work, as she previously felt uneasy working in cybersecurity for major corporations. She is proud to work for Dragos, where she contributes to protecting and advancing civilization and strives to make sure her customers witness her passion and commitment to excellence in all her efforts. Looking toward the future, Ms. Waldron hopes to continue advancing in her career and become a regional sales director or an area vice president.
