Since 2025, Arnita D. Brown has led Eagle Ruler LLC as the company’s president and chief executive officer, overseeing the fitting of patients with compression and custom garments for lymphedema, managing orthopedic and mastectomy fittings, and providing private client services. She emphasizes a deep commitment to offering emotional and physical support to her clients, striving to restore their confidence and sense of wholeness.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Brown was an American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics Inc. (ABC) and Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) certified master fitter, and an orthotic and mastectomy certified surgical specialist at De Blieck’s Pharmacy, part of T&F Pharmacies. She similarly contributed for several years as a certified surgical specialist and orthotic and mastectomy fitter at Wayne Pharmacy & Surgical Supplies, focusing on patient assessment, garment fitting and ongoing postsurgical support. Ms. Brown honed her skills in compression therapy and garment customization as a master fitter at The Compression Store. She began her career working for more than 20 years at Millers Pharmacy of Wyckoff, where she started as a customer service representative in 1999 and rapidly advanced into the roles of certified specialist and fitter manager.
Though her professional journey is marked by many noteworthy achievements, Ms. Brown is most proud of the positive impact she has had on the lives of patients facing significant health challenges, particularly those recovering from mastectomy procedures. She finds profound fulfillment in helping individuals regain their confidence during times of great vulnerability.
Ms. Brown’s success has been supported by her academic history and professional training. She first earned an associate degree in medical and clinical assisting from the Fortis Institute (formerly the Berdan Institute). Following that, she has pursued accreditation through a number of venues. She was certified as an orthotic fitter and a mastectomy fitter by the ABC in 2004 and as an orthotic fitter by the BOC in 2007. She maintains an active membership in the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, reflecting her dedication to ongoing development within her field.
When considering her accomplishments, Ms. Brown believes they have been made possible due to her compassion, love of life and commitment to helping others overcome both physical and emotional challenges. She also credits her faith, positive attitude and skill at fostering calm and self-confidence in her patients.
In her personal life, Ms. Brown is a devoted mother to two and grandmother to five. Her favorite pastimes include attending concerts, braiding hair, making clothes, performing alterations, singing in the church choir, teaching sewing, and selling jewelry and clothes online. She also highly values community service as a longtime supporter of the Angels of Hope Foundation and the Sisters Network.
Moving forward, Ms. Brown intends to continue working within her field while eventually retiring from traditional employment but maintaining private client care. She hopes to travel more extensively and further privatize her specialized services, with aspirations to train others who can continue her legacy of compassionate care.
