Arlene Mazak

Fueled by her passion for helping others, the Rev. Dr. Arlene Mazak parlays more than three decades of professional excellence into her career in personal training, life and career coaching, and interfaith spiritual direction. She is currently the owner of Mazak Global Management, a professional training and coaching company that provides transnational management training, leadership coaching, and consulting services for organizational development and transformation. The firm specializes in developing a global mindset, unleashing human potential, developing gender intelligence, emotional intelligence, social intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and managerial psychosynthesis. She is also the owner of Innercall: Personal and Transpersonal Development, which has offered transpersonal psychotherapy as well as life coaching, career coaching, recovery coaching, transition coaching, dreamwork, and interfaith spiritual direction.

During her illustrious careers, Dr. Mazak has been recognized for her expertise in transformation education, cultural psychologies, intercultural communication, leadership coaching, and psychotherapy. She is also skilled in spiritual direction, interfaith ministry, anti-racist training, management consulting, and transpersonal psychology, which is concerned with the study of humanity’s highest potential and with the recognition and realization of spiritual and transcendent states of consciousness in worldwide traditions.

Dr. Mazak’s responsibilities within her two successful companies include providing organizational developmental and transformation services, working in the areas of conscious capitalism or conscious business, helping leaders with value-added or value-based corporation, meeting with clients, and building intercultural teams. Through conscious leadership coaching, Dr. Mazak enables professionals around the world to achieve success in their business and transform their lives. She guides her clients to achieve workplace balance and focuses on the importance of team building, the catalyst for success in all business. Incorporating hypnotherapy, spiritual techniques and meditation into her teachings, she shows clients how to establish the mental strength and resilience necessary for success.

In pursuit of the education for her careers, Dr. Mazak obtained a master’s degree in Counseling from the University of San Francisco, a graduate certificate in Organizational Development and Transformation from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in South Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago. She also completed coursework for a certificate in Gerontology at Coastline Community College in 2003, and in transpersonal hypnotherapy and past-life regression at the Institute of Thought in 2007. In addition, Dr. Mazak earned certification in global leadership and transnational management training, assessments and simulations from the Intercultural Communication Institute in 2016.  She was certified and ordained as an interfaith / interspiritual minister at One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City.  She was also awarded a certificate in ethno-religious mediation from the International  Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation.

As full-time core faculty and administrator at innovative graduate schools, Dr. Mazak contributed to new course development and curriculum development in the Dept. of East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and then in the M.A. Program at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Dr. Mazak was the faculty leader in campus diversification efforts after creating and teaching a widely acclaimed graduate course “Culture and Consciousness,” which highlighted global diversity, cultural psychologies, and diverse worldviews. She is considered a prominent religious historian who conducted funded research while living in India and Nepal.  She also has studied languages in France and Germany and traveled in Mexico as well as many countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Dr. Mazak has used several favorite publications to enhance her commitment to her field, including “Academy of Management Journal,” Otto Scharmer’s “Theory U: Leading from the Emerging Future,” and Peter Senge’s “The Fifth Discipline” and “The Necessary Revolution,” as well as “Emotional Intelligence” and “Cultural Intelligence” by Daniel Goleman, and “Psychosynthesis,” by Roberto Assagioli.

She is a member of various institutions and associations that serve to expand her professional careers, such as the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the Association for Transpersonal Psychology, the Jung Club, the Academy of Management, the Integral Management group of the Sri Aurobindo Society, the Institute of Noetic Sciences, the Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness, Spiritual Directors International, the South Coast Interfaith Council, A World Alliance of Interfaith Clergy, and United Religions Initiative  Furthermore, she is an affiliate minister with One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, and associated with the Fellowship of Reconciliation, International  Mediators Community of Practice, Unity Church of Tustin, the Unitarian Universalist Church, the Vajrayana Foundation, and the International Association for Regression Research and Therapies.  Reaching out to the wider community, Dr. Mazak has volunteered for the Central Orange County Interfaith Council, and participates in developing social justice activities with the Interfaith Community Organization which meets at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Long Beach, California.

Dr. Mazak has been recognized for her exceptional work in her field with a three year NDEA Title IV Fellowship and an NDFL Title VI Fellowship at the University of Chicago, followed by a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship for Research Abroad in India from the U.S. Department of Education. She received a four year full tuition scholarship from Sarah Lawrence College, where she took ten units of study in world mythologies with Joseph Campbell.  She was awarded the 1993 Dean’s Prize for Faculty Research at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She also was awarded two partial scholarships from One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, as well as a grant from the California Virtual Campus for developing an online course in Gerontology at Coastline Community College.  She has been featured in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women.

Dr. Mazak attributes her success to hard work, and looks forward to the future as she continues to expand her companies and their services.
