When she joined US Foods in Ohio in 2023, Aldy Labrador Willard brought more than 20 years of varied business experience to her crucial work in new business development, reporting to the vice president of sales. Ms. Willard brings new accounts to the company and supports all its territory managers. Her clients include restaurants, hotels, daycare facilities, and many other entities. Also in her role, she interviews potential clients to better understand their needs and how she can help them grow their businesses.
Ms. Willard has the awesome and vital responsibility of promoting diversity in the Hispanic food market, which constitutes the second-largest market for US Foods. She ascribes her success in her industry to her ability to empathize and connect with her customers, persistence, and determination. Committed to delivering excellence daily, she relies on being self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient. A multifaceted woman, outside of her primary profession, Ms. Willard is the show host for her titular “Ask Aldy” radio and television programs.
Before working with US Foods, Ms. Willard was the director of business development at Performance Food Group from 2021 to 2023. She began her career in her home country of Venezuela, where she owned a foundry business from 1999 to 2012 that was named Best Foundry of the Country from 2004 to 2006. After immigrating to the United States in 2012, she gained key experience as a new business development manager for McFarling Foods in Indianapolis, Indiana, for more than five years.
In preparation for her profession, Ms. Willard pursued higher education in Venezuela, graduating from the Universidad de Carabobo in 2006 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 2010, she expanded her horizons by studying food and culinary arts at Cape University and earned an additional bachelor’s degree. Since coming to the United States and launching her career in the food industry, Ms. Willard has continued accruing credentials, including becoming certified as a Reiki master, a numerologist, and a bio-decoding therapist. Alongside her professional pursuits, she regularly attends church and served as a past leader for her son’s Boy Scout troop. In her free time, she enjoys reading, studying, and listening to audiobooks.
