As owner and partner of Girod Consulting, she applies her technical knowledge to systems engineering and information security. She holds a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and a Bachelor of Science in engineering science from Loyola University Chicago, both of which have fueled her success. Alongside her husband, she transitioned from a focus on cybersecurity to dedicating her efforts to philanthropic endeavors.
In addition to her business endeavors, Ms. Girod is an executive assistant and art director at the Therapeutic and Recreational Riding Center. Ms. Girod also brings her talents to the music ministry of St. Michael Poplar Springs Catholic Church in Mount Airy, Maryland, where she has been deeply involved for many years. As an active cantor and choir member, she plays a key role in leading the congregation in worship through song. She participates in daily Mass and takes on leadership responsibilities during special services, contributing to the church’s vibrant musical tradition. Beyond her professional and charitable work, Ms. Girod is a certified therapy dog trainer who regularly visits special needs children with her therapy dog, Rocky, an American Kennel Club Collie.
