With profound expertise in training and mentoring others, Sara Anne Riedel is the founder and chief executive officer of KALA Mentoring, established in 2023 in Florida and featured in major media, including yet not limited to CBS, NBC, FOX, USA Today, Google News, and Digital Journal. Ms. Riedel is a certified mentor credentialed by the International Mentoring Association and is an authorized partner through Everything DiSC.
Previously, Ms. Riedel led an accomplished career with Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited for more than 15 years, starting her tenure with the business in 2006 and departing in 2023. While working for the company, Ms. Riedel excelled as an oncology territory manager and won the top sales award three times in 2009, 2012, and 2020. She saw firsthand how powerful mentorship could be and realized that her industry lacked resources for burgeoning professionals. Drawing on her background in education and passion for continual professional development, Ms. Riedel was inspired to launch KALA Mentoring.
Before starting KALA Mentoring, Ms. Riedel was a field development lead and hematology franchise preceptor with Takeda Pharmaceutical Company in 2023. Before joining Takeda, she spent more than five years with AstraZeneca as a pharmaceutical sales specialist and oncology product specialist. She laid the foundation for her professional path at Michigan State University, where she studied biology, Spanish language and literature and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education in 1996. From 1998 to 2000, Ms. Riedel worked as a teacher in The School District of Palm Beach County in Florida.
Ms. Riedel’s goal in the coming decade is to grow KALA Mentoring and continue expanding her services, offering personalized mentoring catered to the specific needs of individuals. She stays active and informed in her industry as a member of the Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network. Ms. Riedel’s commitment to helping others realize their potential extends beyond her professional endeavors. As a troop leader with the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council since 2023, she enjoys helping young people. Her aim is to continue mentoring and supporting youth through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Chiefly, as the loving mother of three daughters, Ms. Riedel is committed to always being there for her kids.
