PEGGY J. MUELLER

Peggy J. Mueller attended the University of Texas at Austin, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in home economics and child development in 1974. From 1972 to 1980, she garnered experience as a dance teacher at numerous schools, including the Shirley McPhail School of Dance, Texas A&M University, Sul Ross State University and the Jean Tarlton School of Dance. From 1980 to 2010, Ms. Mueller held a position as a dance teacher at her alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin, and, since 1980, she has worked as a dance teacher at the Jean Mueller School of Dance. Since 1972, she has dedicated her time as the recreation chairperson of the St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Active Women’s Symphony League of Austin. Since 1987, she has contributed to the Settlement Club in Austin and, in 1991, she acted as a trail boss for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Trail Ride in Austin and Kyle, Texas.

In addition to her primary pursuits, Ms. Mueller has contributed to numerous creative works. She was a dancer for “Oklahoma” and “Kiss Me Kate” in Austin in 1969 and 1970, respectively, a choreographer and lead in “Cabaret” in 1976, and played a part in the miniseries “True Women” in 1997. She is also a member of myriad organizations including the Texas Association of Teachers of Dancing, Inc., the U.S. Twirling and Gymnastics Association, the Women’s Symphony League of Austin and the Texas Equestrian Trail Riders Association. As a testament to her success, Ms. Mueller has been featured in the third edition of Who’s Who in American Education and the third edition of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, as well as multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Entertainment, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and Who’s Who in the World. She is now retired, spending her free time attending the theater, playing piano and drums, watching sports and traveling.
