Having the benefit of a gratifying, decades-long career, Nicole Smart primarily aims to contribute to the happiness of others through her work. More simply put, she wants to assist whoever comes her way and leave them mentally better than they were before. To this vital end, Ms. Smart is the founder of Rejuvenate Your Mind LLC, a life coaching company in Elkton, Maryland, dedicated to helping people improve their self-worth, build confidence, and triumph over trauma.
Ms. Smart helps her clients plan for their futures, heal from past wounds, develop a foundation of unconditional self-love, and build self-esteem. She believes in the vital and transformative importance of living authentically and strives to help mature professionals through a journey of self-discovery, allowing them to navigate their internal emotional landscape, become their best selves, and realize their goals. As the guide for her clients on this journey, Ms. Smart is a certified life coach who has faced and overcome many challenges in her own life. As a survivor of mental and emotional abuse, she works to bring empathy and compassion to her coaching and create the most productive and accepting environment in which her clients can thrive. Her motto: “I accept you for who you are, and I meet you where you’re at.”
Diversely accomplished, Ms. Smart stands out from others in her field also due to her intellect, humanity, and action-oriented approach to her work. She maintains a relatable, humane framework and seeks to make deep connections with her clients. Through her career and life experiences, she has learned that putting people’s feelings first is vital, as only through understanding one’s emotional landscape can she help them achieve change and growth. Ms. Smart has a complex knowledge of trauma and how it affects one’s life. Drawing on her personal experiences, she works to help her clients cope and move forward in life, making her an invaluable resource to those around her. She describes her work as a process of “transforming people’s lives so they can be who they actually are,” in which she takes great joy. To reach even more people, she launched her own YouTube channel and spreads her knowledge as a podcast host.
Concurrent with life coaching, Ms. Smart is an experienced payroll and insurance professional. From 2010 to 2019, she was an independent insurance agent through her business, Nicole Smart Insurance. She holds a certificate in computer programming from the SCS Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which she earned in 1989. With expertise in payroll management and business, Ms. Smart has worked in the financial sector for multiple companies throughout her career. From 2010 to 2011, she was a payroll manager for Asset Management Specialists LLC, and from 2013 to 2014, she was a payroll specialist with AmQuip Crane. For more than a decade, she was a payroll manager for Robert Half Finance and Accounting, serving in this capacity from 2006 to 2018. Further, since 2019, Ms. Smart has excelled as the payroll manager for Kaolin Mushroom Farms, a leading vertically integrated mushroom farming company with facilities and distribution centers across North America.
Away from all her work, Ms. Smart enjoys reading, poetry, and helping others however she can. To this end, she has served her community as an assistant scout leader for the Girl Scouts of the USA, one of the largest youth organizations for girls in the United States. Pondering the future, she plans to spend more time traveling and has set her sights on exploring the globe. Ms. Smart aspires to establish a workplace where she can use her leadership abilities to help guide employees to find fulfillment and reach their full potential. She envisions herself surrounded by inspiring individuals and engaging in meaningful conversations for years to come.
