Attributing much of her success to her dedication, honesty, patience and the care she has for others, Nancy Hotchkiss holds considerable expertise in residential real estate in the south and west side suburbs of Chicago. She first came to the field of real estate after attending college, when she began looking for a local, flexible job that would allow her to raise her children. In addition, she was inspired by the fact that her father and brothers also worked in real estate, although in different areas of the field. Standing out for her intimate knowledge of the area she serves, due to it being the area she grew up in, Ms. Hotchkiss has excelled as a realtor and broker with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Chicago since 1983.
Having always enjoyed helping others, Ms. Hotchkiss takes great pride in the work she does for her community. Helping people to find the right place to live or helping them to sell their homes as they move on is something that she finds to be incredibly rewarding, particularly since she lives in the area that she serves. This means that she gets to see firsthand how the people she helps flourish and find happiness in their new homes, including seeing new families make friends with their neighbors and getting to see their children grow up. In order to keep abreast of developments in her field, she maintains professional affiliation with the Beverly Area Planning Association, a local organization for the historic Beverly Hills/Morgan Park neighborhood of Chicago, and the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.
For excellence in her career, Ms. Hotchkiss has been the recipient of a number of honors and accolades, including being inducted into the Multi-Million Dollar Club, an honor society for those realtors who achieve outstanding sales. She has further been presented with the Chairman’s Circle Award by Berkshire Hathaway Home Services since 1998, which recognizes her has among the top 2% of agents nationwide. She has also received a Legend Award, a Five Star Professional Award from Chicago Magazine, and was named among Chicago’s Top Agents by the Metro Chicago Real Estate Magazine. Most recently, she was honored as one of America’s Top Real Estate Agents from 2019 to 2020.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Hotchkiss intends to continue on as she has been, helping people in all stages of their lives buy and sell their homes. She would advise young and aspiring real estate professionals that patience and listening are crucial to finding out what needs your buyers and sellers have, as well as what is important to them. Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Hotchkiss enjoys spending time with her family, which has grown to include her three children and her eight wonderful grandchildren. She is also an avid exerciser and enjoy participating in local sports.
