Who's Who of Professional Women

NANCI P. WIMPEY

Nanci Wimpey

Holding a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Georgia State University, Nanci P. Wimpey entered the field of real estate after her husband left his job at the Ford Motor Company. Since 1981, she has been a licensed realtor with RE/MAX and joined Solid Source Realty GA, LLC in 2009. She went on to bolster her skills in the industry by achieving e-Pro certification from the National Association of Realtors and maintains professional affiliation with the National Association of Realtors and the Georgia Association of Realtors in order to keep abreast of new developments in the field. Ms. Wimpey considers her greatest achievement to be her work in helping people find their dream homes.

Furthermore, Ms. Wimpey is active in her community and has done considerable fundraising and mission work with the McDonough Christian Church through volunteering with The Jesus Shed. The church’s mission work has included building a house in Haiti, and they are currently helping put seven women through nursing school and sending out food packets to impoverished areas. Other community work of hers includes donating to the local food pantry and providing Thanksgiving turkeys and meals through her firm, Solid Source Realty GA. She has also volunteered with the Southern Crescent Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center. In her free time, Ms. Wimpey enjoys painting wine bottles and jars, working in her yard, and gardening.

Attributing much of her success to her husband, who has always supported her, Ms. Wimpey is also grateful to her parents for teaching her and her siblings, one brother and three sisters, how to be giving and charitable. She has been recognized on numerous occasions for both her community endeavors and her work in real estate. Most notably, she has been a Top Agent with RE/MAX for 20 years and a member of the Million Dollar Club for 27 years. As she looks toward the future, Ms. Wimpey intends to retire in the next five to 10 years, though she plans to continue supporting her church and community.
