Who's Who of Professional Women

LYNNE BARRON

Lynne Barron

Lynne Barron is a jewelry designer, creator and entrepreneur who has successfully run Creations by Lynne B, an Etsy shop, for more than 12 years. As a child, she hoped to grow up to care for others as a full-time parent, teacher or nurse, though she began her career by enlisting in the United States Navy. She served proudly in the Wave Corps through the Vietnam War and remained in the Individual Readiness Reserves until 1992, serving through Operation Desert Storm. After leaving the military, she became a mother to two children, and homeschooled them, which fulfilled her childhood dream of teaching. Her family has since grown to include three grandchildren.

Once her children completed their homeschool education, Ms. Barron felt inspired to pursue a new dream and began exploring a career jewelry design. Drawing on her natural creativity and eye for detail, she created a line of handcrafted semi-fine and fashion jewelry and launched Creations by Lynne B, which is stylized as CreationsbyLynneB, on Etsy. Through her shop, she offers bracelets, anklets, earrings, rings, necklaces, key chains, rosaries and more. Ms. Barron designs and creates each piece individually, in addition to managing all operational functions, including sales and inventory management, invoicing, and shipping.

Before expanding her interests to include jewelry design, Ms. Barron was an accomplished crochet and fiber artist with more than 50 years of experience in the craft. Her shop notably offers specialty cross stitch cards, crocheted scarves, and occasionally will craft a piece using both jewelry and fiber arts techniques. As a combat veteran and a diabetes survivor, Ms. Barron considers her greatest accomplishment to be continuing to pursue her goals despite the challenges her health presents, and she is proud to bring joy to others through her jewelry designs.
