Lynda Rogerson, EdD, is an educator, consultant, and president of LYNCO Associates, Inc., where she has specialized in grant management, program evaluation, organizational development and career consulting, and curriculum design since 1983. Dr. Rogerson has been drawn to her work since she was a child, explaining that “whatever it is she does, she is always teaching people how to do things.” An alumna of the University of Colorado, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in history with an English minor and a Master of Arts in European history. She earned her Doctor of Education in human resource development and organizational development at the University of Northern Colorado in 1989 after feeling that a doctoral degree was the key to having more professional freedom.
She began her career working in Veterans’ Affairs at Pikes Peak Community College, and had transitioned into a career development position with the school by 1980. In 1983, Dr. Rogerson helped establish the Network Exchange for Women, Inc., a mentoring program for career women, where she would remain president until 2005. In 1988, she began her role as an external consultant for White Bison, Inc., a nonprofit organization offering Wellbriety, sobriety, and addictions recovery programming to Native American communities. A skilled grant writer, Dr. Rogerson remembers her first funded grant for White Bison, Inc., as a career highlight, and since joining the organization, she has secured nearly $8 million in funding for their mission.
Currently, Dr. Rogerson is an adjunct professor of leadership, business process management and research methods and theory at Briarcliff University. Previous academic appointments have included adjunct professorships at Colorado Technical University, Jones International University, Kaplan University, and the University of the Pacific’s Center for Professional and Continuing Education, and a position as a lecturer in the College of Business Administration at the University of Colorado. Between 1997 and 2007, Dr. Rogerson was a professor of management and director of the human resources curriculum at Colorado Technical University, building on many years of prior work as an independent curriculum designer and supervisor, and as a curriculum developer at Chapman University. From 2000 to 2020, she mentored Colorado Technical University students in completing their dissertations.
A member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Society for Human Resource Management, the American Society for Training and Development, and the American Evaluation Association, Dr. Rogerson continues to contribute to numerous journals and publications and maintains an active consulting practice, with a wide variety of clients including: Drake Beam Morin, Managed Health Network, the Mountain Top Cycling Club, the Springs Recovery Center Employee Assistance Providers, Inc. and the Colorado Springs Indian Center. In recognition of her career record of excellence and dedication, Dr. Rogerson was named Elder of the Year by the Native American Women’s Association in 2012, honored as White Bison’s Volunteer of the Year at the Second Annual Circles of Recovery Conference, and presented with a Vision Award by the Network Exchange for Women, among many other honors. She currently volunteers as a horse wrangler at Colorado Springs Therapeutic Riding Center and serves as secretary for the Garden of the Gods Rock Ledge Ranch Powwow Committee.
