Lisa A. Maraldo Blaker Lee, marked by her current role as the command information systems security manager and alternate security control assessor at KBR Inc. (formerly Kellogg Brown & Root), has established a distinguished career in cybersecurity. Founded in 1998, KBR is a global leader in information technology services and consulting, delivering engineering solutions to help companies and governments keep up with advancements in the modern era.
Prior to joining KBR, Ms. Lee served as the United States Marine Corps Intelligence Command information officer within the Integration Branch of the Deputy Commandant for Information’s Intelligence Division from 2018 to 2025, during which she managed 24 X 7 enterprise information technology services on the intelligence networks for the Corps. From 2016 to 2018, she was the chief information officer for Marine Corps Intelligence Activity in Quantico Base, Virginia. Her tenure was marked by her adept handling of chaotic situations, particularly when she joined a Marine Corps program that initially lacked accountability and proper procedures. Through her leadership, she reorganized efforts and established a healthy, compliant, turnkey system for her successor, demonstrating her commitment to excellence and organizational improvement.
Ms. Lee’s civilian military career also includes significant contributions as a program information systems security manager at Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, from 2010 to 2016. During this time, she spearheaded all information assurance and cybersecurity operations and ensured that all United States Army, Department of Defense, and federal policies were adhered to. As chief of the Technical Management and Operations Division within the Army in 2010 and as a computer scientist from 2005 to 2010, she was integral in deploying the first approved wireless system for the Army and the transition to Risk Management Framework.
Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Lee laid a strong foundation for her career achievements by earning a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and management from Pennsylvania Western University, California in 1997 and an associate degree in accounting from the Community College of Allegheny County in 1989. To expand her knowledge and qualifications, she was certified as an information systems security professional in 2016, an information security manager in 2011, and in CompTIA Security+ by the Computing Technology Industry Association, providing her with many of the necessary skills to excel in various cybersecurity roles.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Lee has taken great joy in her civic involvement throughout her life as a volunteer sign language interpreter, math tutor and basketball coach. Her personal life is equally enriched by her love for painting, spending time with her dogs and collecting shark teeth, rocks, and Godzilla memorabilia. Happily married and proud mother of three sons, one stepdaughter, and three grandsons, Ms. Lee attributes much of her success to her children, all of whom have been a constant source of support and motivation for her.
Aiming to continue making a meaningful impact in the cybersecurity realm, Ms. Lee plans to engage in more contractual work after retiring from federal government service this fall. Her unwavering dedication to both her family and profession continues to reflect her legacy of enhancing the safety and well-being of others through all she does.
