Lisa Anderson

Lisa K. Anderson is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and certified social worker who specializes in working with patients who have suffered trauma, women who have experienced domestic violence, and children and families experiencing parenting issues. She has found success as the president and therapist at A Healing Place, Complete Counseling Care since 2017. In this role, she corresponds with clients, briefs her staff, trains others, and still finds time to see seven to nine clients daily. Alongside this position, Ms. Anderson excels as the owner of L.K. Anderson Consulting LLC, which she started in 2016. Prior to her current endeavors, she was the supervisor of a crisis unit from 2009 to 2017 and a mental health therapist with Psychology Associates of the Fox Cities from 2015 to 2018.

Ms. Anderson prepared for her career in social work at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in social work in 1999. She concluded her studies at the same institution in 2006, graduating with a master’s degree in community counseling in addition to securing her LPC credential and becoming a certified social worker. She later founded A Healing Place, Complete Counseling Care, which was recognized within its industry as the best counseling agency in 2021 and 2022. Alongside her expertise as a counselor, consultant, and therapist, Ms. Anderson authored “Loosen the Grip: Strategies for Raising Independent and Confident Critical Thinkers” in 2023.

To stay up-to-date with developments and changes in the field of mental health and social work, Ms. Anderson has maintained affiliation with the N.E.W. Mental Health Partnership since 2015. As a business owner, she is also a member of the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce and the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Anderson attributes her professional accomplishments to her tenacity. Looking forward, she hopes to expand her healing services by opening multiple new locations in Wisconsin. Furthermore, she plans to shift her focus from therapy to parent coaching, speaking engagements, and training. When she is not working, Ms. Anderson cherishes time with her family and enjoys reading.
