Lindsay Lueken

Embarking on her professional path while studying at Albion College, Lindsay Lueken came to a career in insurance claims through an internship she completed as a requirement of Albion’s business program. Throughout her studies, from 2000 to 2004, she was recognized on several occasions for her academic excellence, including being awarded both a Comerica Bank scholarship and a William Webster scholarship and being honored on the dean’s list. She graduated from Albion College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and management. Since then, Ms. Lueken has furthered her skills with certifications in leadership from the Franklin Covey Co. and strategic selling from the Miller Heiman Group.

Beginning her career as a sales coordinator for Sun Life from 2004 to 2008, Ms. Lueken went on to serve as a national account executive for NFP from 2008 to 2021 and a group insurance account executive for Aetna Inc. from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, she joined Broadspire Services, Inc., a claims management company, as a dedicated account executive. She rose to become the director of disability and absence client services in 2020 and has been the vice president of disability and absence operations since 2021. Holding considerable expertise in disability and leads management, Ms. Lueken is responsible for acquiring company and state leads, assisting human resources, timekeeping, and overseeing general operations.

Alongside her primary responsibilities, Ms. Lueken is involved with the ZEAL Women & Allies employee resource group at Broadspire and recently became a member of Chief. She has also spent time as an executive advisory board member of the Disability Management Employer Coalition. Furthermore, she has been active in a variety of community endeavors throughout her career as well and has volunteered her time to the Special Olympics and the American Cancer Society. Ms. Lueken has served as a fundraising specialist for Susan G. Komen since 2004.

Ms. Lueken attributes much of her success to her desire to do the right thing and to be authentic to herself. With years of accomplishments to her name, she considers the highlight of her career to be her excellence in managing others and maintaining Broadspire’s internal promotion rate of 85%. Looking toward the future, she hopes to see disruption in her industry that will help to shed more light on disability management in the insurance field. For her excellence, Crawford & Company, the parent company of Broadspire, named Ms. Lueken among their Emerging Leaders in 2019.
