Actress, model, and registered nurse Kristin M. Bone stays ready for her closeup while sticking closely to what matters most, helping her patients. Successfully balancing her dual passions for unrelated industries, Ms. Bone entered the entertainment arena within the last several years and has worked in healthcare specializing in psychiatric nursing for nearly two decades. Recently photographed and included in an issue of the coveted, Los Angeles-based Fashion Republic Magazine, she is represented by the Stars Talent Studio near Salt Lake City, Utah, and is a nurse for Aya Healthcare, a nationwide travel nursing agency and healthcare staffing company.
Featured in the film “Me” and landing a family-friendly science fiction television series soon slated for release, Ms. Bone is proud of the strides she has made so far in entertainment, yet she counts her most notable achievements as having a hand in the improved health of her many patients. She attributes her success in both industries to having determination in all areas of life, knowing what she wants, relentlessly pushing to reach her goals, never quitting, and going to greater lengths by dedicating more time than others in her pursuits. Ms. Bone also believes that having a diverse background with a wide range of professional experiences as a financial advisor and in acting, modeling, and healthcare has greatly benefitted her.
As a psychiatric nurse, Ms. Bone has worked with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as with inmates in correction facilities. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Saint Mary and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washburn University along with being licensed in Missouri as a registered nurse and in Kansas and Missouri as a life and health insurance professional and a security industry essentials expert. She has other certifications and coursework to her credit, including in ministry. Prior to her current roles, Ms. Bone enjoyed accomplished, multifaceted careers working at Corizon Health at Lansing Correctional Facility; AXA Advisors, LLC; Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital; Marillac Children’s Hospital and Research Medical Center; Grifols Biomat USA; Aldersgate Retirement, Inc., DBA Epworth Village Retirement Community; The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus; and House of Greens Productions.
During her time as a travel nurse, Ms. Bone became curious about the entertainment industry, first taking modeling classes, then developing an equal interest in acting before she started auditioning for television and movie roles. In the next five to 10 years, she sees herself having an increasingly busy acting career, yet she has no plans to leave nursing. Along with entertaining and caring for others, the mother of one daughter enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and exercising.
