Adjacent to her literary endeavors, Ms. Oliver finds great fulfillment in imparting her knowledge and expertise to younger generations. She is deeply passionate about her work as an educator and has worked as a professor of marketing at Stanton University since 2023. Eminently qualified, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications, radio, television, and film from California State University, Fullerton, in 1986. A decade later, Ms. Oliver graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master of Business Administration. In addition to her degrees, she has remained committed to her professional development throughout her career, obtaining numerous credentials and certifications. In 2014, she became a certified life coach through Life Coaching of OC, and in 2015, she completed the Advanced Retail Strategy Program at the University of California, Los Angeles, Extension School. In 2019, Ms. Oliver was certified by Delft X in SPCEx: Sustainable Packaging in a Circular Economy, and in 2023, she became Scrum Fundamentals certified by VMEdu Inc. The same year, she completed certification in Google Analytics and earned an edX Verified certificate for Online Advertising and Social Media. Most recently, Ms. Oliver completed an online faculty certification with Stanton University in 2024.
Prior to her success as an author, Ms. Oliver worked in the Hollywood film industry for 30 years. She gained experience with Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., Universal Studios, and DreamWorks Animation, where she notably secured an exclusive deal for her screenplays and was the director, producer, and writer for her own short films. Despite facing challenges due to the content of her ideas being seen as female-focused and ultimately unmarketable, Ms. Oliver is proud to have disproven those claims, turning her stories into highly successful and critically acclaimed novels. Throughout her experiences, she has learned the unparalleled importance of self-belief and trust in one’s convictions. She simply sets her mind to her goals and accomplishes them without a second thought, refusing to listen to any detractors.
