JILLIAN C. BERGERON

For Jillian C. Bergeron, responding to a newspaper advertisement more than two decades ago changed the course of her life, leading to her becoming a well-reviewed master aesthetician who provides personalized wellness and healing services to clients. As it turned out, the profession fit well with the desire she already had and the future she foresaw to find lasting ways to help others, especially those overcoming various trauma in their lives. Trained by The Elizabeth Grady Companies in New Hampshire, Ms. Bergeron now also holds a master certification to practice the Kundalini form of reiki, an energy therapy that promotes natural body healing, and she is learning to become a shaman.

Named a Marquis Who’s Who Top Professional in 2021 in addition to her current Who’s Who of Professional Women designation, Mr. Bergeron stands out from others in her field by coming up with unique ideas and creative ways to use her training and expertise to treat and help people to relax, even if they are sometimes unable to pay the full fee because she believes everyone deserves to be pampered. Along with having the opportunity to help ease people’s troubles, she enjoys aesthetic work because it often allows her to learn and practice new and different modalities. Another vital perk is using her knowledge to take better care of herself so that she can provide the best possible services for countless individuals who regularly depend on her.

A particular experience that humbled Ms. Bergeron years ago was when she performed a full-body reiki on a woman who initially lost all feeling in her feet and had trouble walking. After the treatment, she said the client regained her usual sensations and mobility. Such results have led to word-of-mouth referrals and many returning, faithful customers.

Ms. Bergeron cites honesty, integrity, tenacity, and perseverance as the keys to her success. She received inspiration early in life from her mother, a pioneering entrepreneur who was the first woman in New Hampshire to open a home heating oil business. Other mentors, including her renowned and seasoned shaman whom she emulates, have greatly influenced her, contributed to her professional prowess, and continue to encourage her to achieve new career milestones.

To give back some of what she has received, within the next 5 to 10 years, Ms. Bergeron plans to complete a coaching certification and open aesthetics franchises with a special focus on helping less fortunate women. She stays involved in and abreast of innovations by partnering with a scientist who works for a well-known shoe company to apply some of her inventions designed to keep her aesthetic rooms and office areas anti-microbial. Concerned about the overall condition of the earth and generating natural forms of energy, Ms. Bergeron also wants to work with an electrical engineer to determine new ways to use less electricity.

Over the course of her long career, which has included owning and operating her own spa, rated highly by the Better Business Bureau, as well as helping other women start their own businesses, Ms. Bergeron has discovered and most appreciates that being in the beauty industry allows her to have beneficial impacts on her clients’ lives because she says when people feel good, everything else seems to fall into place. She carries her capacity for caring into the community as a volunteer advocating for children at Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire; A Safe Place NH, a social services organization that shelters and assists victims of domestic violence; and Hampton Firefighters. A native of Miami, Florida, Ms. Bergeron has a daughter and enjoys reading and gardening in her spare time.
