Jennifer L. Morovitz

Jennifer L. Morovitz’s outstanding career spanning three decades has been marked by a series of progressive roles in cybersecurity, technology modernization and emerging technologies. Since 2026, she has excelled as chief executive officer and principal security advisor at Third Eye Cyber Strategy LLC. In this capacity, she draws on her extensive expertise to advise business leaders on AI security, product and service evaluations, and risk assessments. Her consulting practice also encompasses the development of new products and services with security as a core function, as well as refining organizational security structures and operational models. Through Third Eye Cyber Strategy LLC, Ms. Morovitz addresses critical challenges facing organizations in an era defined by rapid technological change.

From 2018 to 2024, Ms. Morovitz found success as the assistant vice president of cybersecurity at AT&T. During this period, she led a comprehensive five-year transformation of the company’s vulnerability management program, implementing a new risk management platform across all business units and subsidiaries. She established a team of more than 250 members and considers this initiative one of her most successful achievements. Additionally, Ms. Morovitz oversaw more than 30 acquisitions, including those involving Time Warner and HBO, demonstrating her ability to navigate complex integrations within a dynamic industry. 

During her tenure at AT&T, Ms. Morovitz launched an innovative entertainment platform that integrated content delivery, television, voice, Internet Protocol and broadband, which was a pioneering approach at the time. Furthermore, she built her team from the ground up by hiring external talent. Her development of a security integration methodology for emerging products was later commercialized and applied across various AT&T consumer and business product lines. Ms. Morovitz also established a repeatable process to help ensure product and service security throughout the organization.

Between 2008 and 2017, Ms. Morovitz served as the director of cybersecurity for emerging products and services security at AT&T. In this role, she led the research team and founded a cybersecurity innovation center in New York City along with several centers of excellence. Her leadership advanced cybersecurity innovation through partnerships with universities such as Carnegie Mellon University and Washington University in St. Louis, as well as collaborations with industry standards organizations.

In her earlier tenure as AT&T’s senior technical security director between 2006 and 2007, Ms. Morovitz contributed to the company’s strategic direction during a period of significant technological advancement. From 1996 to 2005, she advanced through several roles at AT&T, including senior technical security manager, systems administrator and manager special services. Ms. Morovitz began her career in network operations, where she played an integral role in establishing the first network and data center for the company.

Throughout her professional journey, Ms. Morovitz has demonstrated expertise in driving transformational change and leading technology modernization initiatives across global implementations. Her commitment to professional development is reflected in memberships with leading industry organizations that have provided valuable opportunities for collaboration with peers at the forefront of cybersecurity.

Ms. Morovitz’s contributions to innovation are underscored by several patents awarded during her career, including a patent for system and method of problem detection in received internet data, video data and voice data in both 2012 and 2014, a patent for system and method of selectively applying security measures to data services in 2014, and a patent for blockchain solution for an automated advertising marketplace in 2021. She also obtained a patent for facilitating quality of service and security via functional classification of devices in networks.

A strong advocate for continuous learning, Ms. Morovitz pursued an education at Washington University in St. Louis, from which she earned a master’s degree in information management and a master’s degree in telecommunications management. She previously graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Her academic pursuits laid the foundation for her technical expertise while instilling resilience, an attribute she deems essential given her experience as one of only two women in her engineering program at the time. Furthermore, Ms. Morovitz has fortified her skill set through numerous certifications from ISC2, Emeritus, and NY Tandon School of Engineering.

Since 2019, Ms. Morovitz has worked as education advisory board member for the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering at McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. She has also contributed as a cybersecurity executive with the St. Louis Regional CISO Council since 2016 and supported charitable initiatives as general manager sponsor for the AT&T St. Louis United Way Charity Golf Tournament from 2015 to 2019.
