LINDA GAIL MORGAN

Earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting, with a minor in computer science, from Florida State University in 1974, Linda Gail Morgan has spent her entire career in production, traveling across the globe to work on various live and televised events, from festivals to parades to concerts and more. She has notably had the opportunity to be the production manager for multiple Olympic opening and closing ceremonies and sporting event half-time shows, including the Super Bowl. Between 1997 and 2003, she held several roles with The Walt Disney Company, including producer and production manager for Walt Disney World Entertainment. Ms. Morgan has also contributed her skills to Anheuser-Busch and Busch Creative Services, World of Coca Cola, and Northwest Florida State College, among many others.

Becoming certified as a film commissioner by the Association of Film Commissioners International, Ms. Morgan joined the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Film Commission as an associate commissioner in 2010, rising to become commissioner by 2012. Today, her duties with the commission include liaising with various state film commissions and overseas production companies, as well as the local government; handling various aspects of production; and ensuring their clients get what they need. In 2015, Ms. Morgan joined the executive board of Film Florida, becoming the first vice president in 2017 and, ultimately, attaining the position of president in 2020, a moment she cites among the highlights of her career.

Alongside her primary responsibilities, Ms. Morgan has also been involved with the arts department of Soka Gakkai International since 1995. She previously spent time on the board of directors of the Florida State University Southern California Alumni Association, which awarded her the Garnet Gold Award in 1995. Other affiliations of hers include the National Association of Professional Women and Alpha Chi Omega. Looking toward the future, Ms. Morgan intends to continue exceling as a film commissioner, leading Film Florida to further success by reinstating various film initiatives to attract productions to the state of Florida.
