
Gail L. Lamoureux, BS, RN, PMH-BC, has dedicated more than four decades to psychiatry, establishing herself as a distinguished expert in the field. Since 2009, she has excelled as a care manager at Humana, a leading health insurance company providing Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid coverage, and employer group benefits. Her work is driven by a commitment to making care accessible and equipping members with the tools they need to thrive.
Ms. Lamoureux’s career began as a nurse aide, a role she held for four years, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care. She later pursued a unique passion as a professional clown, using humor to uplift and connect with others. Laying a solid educational foundation, earning an associate degree in nursing in 1981, followed by a bachelor’s degree in healthcare leadership. Her expertise is further supported by certifications as a behavioral psychiatric mental health nurse and a gerontological nurse, equipping her with specialized skills in mental health and elder care.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Lamoureux is actively involved with the South East Clown Association (SECA), blending her passion for clowning with community engagement. Her ability to bring joy to others has been a source of personal fulfillment and success. She has also been recognized for her innovative approaches to mental health care, particularly her non-medication methods for managing anxiety. Her contributions have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine, and Millennium Magazine. In 2023, she was nominated for the Humana Excellence and Leadership Award and received third place at a talent show during a clown convention.

Born in Warwick, she enjoys scrapbooking and making older individuals laugh through clowning.
