Diana Humphrey

Upon earning a diploma from the Wheeler School in Rhode Island, Diana Humphrey attended Smith College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1960. She also completed coursework at the Roland Park Country School in Baltimore. Soon thereafter, she became a licensed real estate broker in the State of Massachusetts in 1978.

At the start of her career, Ms. Humphrey worked as a foreign rights sales representative for Little, Brown & Company, as well as Hachette Book Group in Boston from 1960 to 1963. Consequently, Ms. Humphrey joined the Smith College Club in Concord, Massachusetts, as a volunteer fundraiser between 1976 and 1989. During this time, she also contributed as a member of the board of development for Center Club Boston until 1994.

Since 1975, Ms. Humphrey excelled as the events fundraiser for the Boston Orchestra. Additionally, she has served as a volunteer fundraiser for the Junior League of Boston, Inc., since 1967, and has been the honorary member of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children since 1997. With the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention Cruelty, Ms. Humphrey assists in leadership that aims to protect, and promote the welfare of children and families. Civically, she was dedicated her time to numerous organizations including the Wayland Housing Partnership, REACH and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. In 1963, Ms. Humphrey contributor was an editor for the Huntington Hartford Gallery of Modern Art in New York.

In the past, Ms. Humphrey briefly served as the director of education for Hawthorne Partners, Inc., and as a volunteer fundraiser for the Bay Cove Human Services Inc. She has also devoted a portion of her time to the Golden Tones Chorus, based in Wayland, Massachusetts. The choir is comprised of 70 retirees who enjoy singing and dancing in various communities, including schools, faith based organizations and senior citizen residences. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, traveling, gardening, singing and discussing politics in her spare time. An exceptional Marquis listee, Ms. Humphrey has been featured in the 71st edition of Who’s Who in America, which was published in 2018.

The child of Edwin and Elizabeth Young, Ms. Humphrey was born in Baltimore on February 7, 1938. She is the proud mother of three adult children, Peter, Elizabeth and Susan. Ms. Humphrey is also the grandmother of six beautiful grandchildren; Johnathan, Aloha, Timothy, Rose, Ursala and William. Ms. Humphrey currently resides in Wayland.
