
As a highly accomplished professional and entrepreneur, Cathy C. Bonczek has found success as the owner of CCB Communications, LLC, which she established in 2001 in Stamford, Connecticut. She assists senior executives in refining their high-stakes communication skills. She also helps her clients deliver leadership messages, give impactful speeches, close deals, prepare for media appearances, sell companies, and raise funds. Offering her services globally, Ms. Bonczek works with leaders in private equity, credit, asset management, insurance, and investment banking. She serves clients in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Ms. Bonczek believes her accomplishments, in part, are the culmination of her ability to provide direct and actionable feedback to senior corporate leadership. With a unique talent for meeting people where they are in their professional development, she helps her clients advance their skills as they advance their titles. Since 2022, she has been an official member of the Forbes Coaches Council, an invitation-only organization comprised of leading business coaches and career coaches. Believing that her competitive advantage lies in her profound understanding of the business and financial sectors, as well as her unique capability to apply constructive criticism, Ms. Bonczek enjoys facilitating the professional development of highly accomplished individuals. Prior to launching her business, Ms. Bonczek studied at Cornell University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After a short stint as a Suez Canal shipping expert, she started a banking career working at Irving Trust, Marine Midland Bank, Chemical Bank, Bank of Boston, and Natwest Bank. She received several awards for sales excellence and leadership. Ms. Bonczek worked as an area manager in Boston and a regional marketing and distribution executive in New York, managing teams of up to 300 people. In 1997, Ms. Bonczek joined Rogen International in New York and began her career as a communications consultant. She became a managing director and co-head of the Banking and Finance Team. In 2001, shortly after the arrival of her first son, she started CCB Communications, LLC, to provide “The Art of Executive Communication” to her clients. Ms. Bonczek received certifications in narrative coaching and integrative development. She is a certified trainer of the SOCIAL STYLE® Model as created by the TRACOM Corporation.
Further, Ms. Bonczek is a class officer of the Cornell Alumni Association and a past president of the New York Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She has been an advisory board member of the Wildlife Center of Fairfield County, the Gregg Smith Singers, and the Moment Institute.
Among the important aspects of Ms. Bonczek’s job, she helps senior professionals hone their annual meeting and year-end messages, prepare for earnings calls, and improve their fundraising pitches and initial public offering successes. CCB Communications, LLC, continues to expand, and Ms. Bonczek has written a book focused on executive communication skills to be released by Forbes Books in 2026.
Ms. Bonczek is most grateful for the gift of her family. She and her husband adopted two sons, both of whom were born in Seoul, Korea. She co-founded a group called The Gathering Ground for families of international adoption and enjoyed bringing Korean culture – dance, food, music, and language – to her local community. Ms. Bonczek believes in the transformative power of art and seeks to incorporate different art practices into her daily life. She writes, sings, plays the piano, and tries to find time to return to painting and drawing whenever she can. Moreover, she speaks French and is learning Korean.
Ms. Bonczek loves her career and the clients she gets to work with every day. She hopes that her legacy will be to have helped create a generation of compassionate, inspiring leaders.
