Drawing on her passion for her work and deep understanding of her industry, Audrey Marie Neylon, Doctor of Health Administration (DHA), is known for making positive changes and establishing strong relationships with her team. Since 2022, she has been the system director of mental health and addiction business solutions with Fairview Health Services. In this capacity, she reports to executive leadership, is responsible for overseeing the mental health patient placement department, and ensures that patients are admitted promptly and safely. Dr. Neylon oversees the organization’s overall performance, consults with leaders who report to her, and tracks project progression. She developed Fairview Health Services’ financial clearance department from scratch and is accountable for seven different departments consisting of more than 100 employees.

Dr. Neylon credits much of her success to her upbringing, as it contributed to her strong work ethic and perseverance. She believes hard work is crucial to personal growth and strives to make a positive impact, continually striving for self-improvement and professional development. Initially planning to pursue a career in nursing, she began working as a nursing assistant for a nursing home in 2005. Shortly, however, Dr. Neylon realized this was not the right fit for her skill set. She enrolled in Anoka Technical College, graduating in 2008 with an associate degree in medical administration. She continued her impressive academic journey at the University of Phoenix, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in health care administration in 2013, a master’s degree in health administration in 2015, and her DHA in 2023.

For her excellence in health care administration, Dr. Neylon was awarded a Rising Employee for People Engagement Recognition from Fairview Health Services in 2022. In 2017 and 2021, her former employer, Allina Health, honored her with its Key Contributor accolade for her work. She served Allina Health in numerous roles for more than a decade, including as a patient service representative, revenue cycle manager, patient registration manager, and clinical access specialist, among other positions. Dr. Neylon is a member of the International Society of Female Professionals and has served on the board of directors for the Conflict Resolution Center. In her free time, she enjoys time with her family, exercising, and reading books on leadership.
