Andrea Waters Allsbrook

As the owner and operator of Ms. Jeans Restaurant since 2013, Andrea Waters Allsbrook has established a stellar reputation for preparing and cooking authentic Southern cuisine. She ensures that each dish the restaurant serves meets the high standards of her family’s culinary legacy. Ms. Allsbrook personally tastes food for quality control while overseeing all restaurant operations. She is a hands-on owner, from supervising staff placement to managing payroll to arranging food displays.

The recipes featured at Ms. Jeans Restaurant have been passed down through generations, originating from Ms. Allsbrook’s mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her mother played a pivotal role in the restaurant, making desserts until just before her final surgery, cherishing every moment spent feeding customers. This passion for cooking inspired Ms. Allsbrook to continue the family tradition. She feels great satisfaction when patrons remark that her mother would be proud of all she has accomplished.

Prior to taking ownership of Ms. Jeans Restaurant, Ms. Allsbrook built a successful career spanning 20 years in the hotel industry. She began as a front desk clerk and, through dedication and hard work, advanced to become a general manager. Throughout her tenure in hospitality, Ms. Allsbrook was known for connecting with guests and colleagues alike, emphasizing the importance of relationships over financial gain.

Ms. Allsbrook’s entry into the restaurant profession was deeply influenced by personal experience and family history. Born in Savannah, Georgia, she grew up watching her mother’s dedication to both family and business as she managed Ms. Jeans Restaurant in Springfield, Georgia, throughout the 1990s. That location closed in 1999 as the family faced significant business challenges.

While pursuing her career in hospitality management, Ms. Allsbrook remained connected to her roots and continued to remember her time in the restaurant in childhood. In 2012, while working as a general manager in Destin, Florida, she made the choice to return home to Georgia to help care for her mother during an illness. Through prayer and reflection, Ms. Allsbrook decided not only to return but to honor her mother by reopening Ms. Jeans Restaurant at a new location. After developing a business plan and acquiring the necessary equipment, she resigned from her position in Florida and officially reopened the restaurant on March 11, 2013.

Devout in her spiritual beliefs, Ms. Allsbrook credits her success to obedience toward what she feels is a calling from the Lord. Driven by this belief, she focuses on helping others rather than pursuing personal gain. When hiring staff, she often selects individuals who may be overlooked by others, striving to provide hope and support during difficult times.

Both Ms. Allsbrook and Ms. Jeans Restaurant have been lauded for their quality and recognized through numerous awards. The restaurant was named Most Fab by Effingham Living Magazine in 2026 and Most Fab Business That Gives Back in 2024. The business has further been celebrated with such accolades as Best Biscuits, Best Dessert, Best Fried Chicken and Best Sweet Tea.

As she continues leading Ms. Jeans Restaurant, Ms. Allsbrook looks forward to eventually retiring from business management and pursuing more opportunities to travel. Before that happens, though, she intends to leave behind an enduring legacy of resilience, compassion and commitment to preserving family traditions.
