A leader in her field, Alka Manaktala has excelled as the vice president of the Insurance Office of America since 2015. Servicing and handling an almost $2 million book of business in revenue, she takes care of over 80 large clients with commercial insurance needs, which includes, but is not limited to, property, liability, workers’ compensation, EPLI, directors and officers, and more. Prior to beginning her career, she pursued an education at Delhi University, where she earned a Master of Arts in 1981. Civically engaged as well, Ms. Manaktala contributes to homeless shelters and Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Manaktala was honored as the Top Producer by Insurance Business America from 2017 to 2019. Likewise, she was recognized as a Top Producer by the Insurance Office of America in 2017 and a Top Producer by Leavitt Insurance Agency in 2015. Ms. Manaktala attributes her success to her company and the colleagues with whom she works alongside.
Ms. Manaktala would like clients to know that she always puts herself in their shoes and she consistently keeps their best interest in mind. She has notably accrued extensive knowledge in worker’s compensation, employment practices, liability insurance and restaurant recovery. In her roles, she has served as an insurance broker for hundreds of restaurant franchises including Jack in the Box, Denny’s, Carl’s Jr., Wendy’s, Panera Bread, Buffalo Wild Wings, Del Taco, Subway, Black Bear Diner, Popeye’s and Papa John’s. Looking toward the future, Ms. Manaktala intends to continue to grow professionally every year.
