Earlier that year, she was active as a GIS analyst contractor for Environmental Security International in Washington D.C., further honing her technical skills.

Ms. Morandi notably graduated with a Bachelor of Science in geoscience from Florida Atlantic University in 2010. She also obtained a geographic information systems certification from Florida Atlantic University in 2008. Ms. Morandi’s parents have been a profound influence on her path. Both began their careers in nuclear and chemical engineering before transitioning into custom home-building after immigrating to the United States. Her father obtained his professional engineering license while overcoming language barriers and later graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in nuclear engineering. Her mother earned a master’s degree in civil structural engineering before joining him in entrepreneurship. Witnessing their perseverance—especially after they rebuilt their lives following the 2008 housing crisis—instilled in Ms. Morandi a deep appreciation for resilience and self-reliance.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Morandi is an accomplished violinist who has performed with ensembles such as the Broward Symphony during her youth and later with the County Volunteer Orchestra at Florida Atlantic University after the dissolution of the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra.
