Wei Keat Lui

With a bachelor’s degree in accounting and marketing from the University of Waikato, chartered accountant Wei Keat Lui has more than 20 years of experience in her field. Since 2023, she has served as a senior auditor for Oregon State University, and since 2021, she has been an internal auditor 3 for the Oregon State Treasury. With expertise in auditing, risk management, and compliance, Ms. Lui  was a governmental auditor 3 for the Oregon Department of Education in 2021, as a senior internal audit and risk officer with the South Australia Department for Child Protection from 2020 to 2021, and as a senior internal auditor for the South Australia Department of the Premier and Cabinet in 2020.

Ms. Lui began her career in 2001 as an auditor for Audit New Zealand, after which she was an internal auditor with Weltex from 2005 to 2007. For the next two years, she was an internal auditor with the Ministry of Social Development in Wellington, New Zealand, and between 2009 and 2011, she was a senior auditor with the Ministry for Primary Industries of New Zealand. With Deloitte Australia, she worked as a senior analyst from 2011 to 2014, subsequently excelling as a senior assurance consultant with SA Health in South Australia until 2015, when she became the senior internal auditor for the South Australia Department of the Premier and Cabinet, a post she held until 2019.

As a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Ms. Lui maintains memberships with multiple professional organizations. She is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and Chartered Accountants Worldwide Network USA. She served as president of Toastmasters New Zealand, a chapter of the international nonprofit public-speaking educational organization. Ms. Lui believes her success is the result of her passion for auditing, and she hopes to advance to the position of head of internal auditing. Pondering the future, she plans to continue her winning ways by maintaining her commitment to professional growth. Balancing work with her personal life, Ms. Lui loves spending time with her family and enjoys going to the gym, cooking, and watching television.
