With more than three decades of experience to her credit, Victoria Aston-Duff is an accomplished professional in global equity sales and capital formation. Since 2008, she has excelled as the managing director and marketing specialist with TPG Angelo Gordon, where she primarily focuses on institutions seeking long-term investments in alternative assets. Throughout her career, Ms. Aston-Duff has established herself as an expert in insurance client coverage, particularly in the United States and South America. In her current role, she contributes to growth at TPG Angelo Gordon by building strategic partnerships and creating new opportunities within larger institutional platforms. With her team, she is developing an insurance practice within the company.
Before joining TPG Angelo Gordon, Ms. Aston-Duff spent nearly 17 years at Stearns & Co. As the firm’s senior managing director and co-head of global equity sales in Europe, she led client-facing initiatives and expanded the firm’s presence outside of the United States. Additionally, she spent three years with Prudential-Bache Securities. In preparation for her professional pursuits, Ms. Aston-Duff attended Queen’s University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature in 1986. Though she initially envisioned a career in journalism, her desire for financial growth led her to complete coursework in business studies at the London School of Economics in 1987. This decision marked a turning point in her career, as it opened doors to opportunities in London’s financial sector.
Throughout her career, Ms. Aston-Duff has found success in a competitive industry by outworking her peers. She attributes her accomplishments to this work ethic, alongside her commitment to her clients and partners. In 2010, she was recognized among the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds. Ms. Aston-Duff’s ability to navigate and succeed through various market cycles as well as different stages in her personal life is among her proudest achievements.
Active in her professional and local communities, Ms. Aston-Duff gives of her time to civic and industry organizations. She serves on the committee for the American School in London and is a member of the Charitable Age Foundation. Moreover, she maintains affiliation with the Insurance Women’s Investment Network, also known as IWIN, and 100 Women in Hedge Funds. Away from work, Ms. Aston-Duff enjoys time with her children, gardening, cooking, playing tennis, swimming, and traveling.
