Vicky Allen

Vicky Allen is renowned as a programmer and a marketing professional with more than 30 years of expertise in software, data center and telecom applications. Initially intending to become a teacher, she decided to shift her major when she realized that she would have a more stable career path in the technology field. Ms. Allen eventually graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in business and computer science in 1980.

In 1977, Ms. Allen began her career with the Burroughs Corporation as a quality assurance technician. She subsequently served the aforementioned corporation as a software quality assurance engineer in 1978 and a systems analyst from 1978 to 1981. Working as a financial programmer analyst for Crocker Bank Internal Systems from 1981 to 1983, she further flourished a senior systems analyst for Avantek from 1983 to 1984. Additionally, providing technical support and training for Micro Focus in Palo Alto, California, from 1984 to 1996, Ms. Allen found success as an OEM sales account manager for Netscape from 1996 to 1999.

From 1999 to 2002, Ms. Allen expertly managed business development and strategic relationships for Nortel Networks in Santa Clara, California. She was also active as the director of inside sales at Polycom from 2002 to 2003 and a marketing specialist at Steel Eye Technology from 2003 to 2004. Thriving as the manager of sales for VeriSign’s Telecom Division from 2004 to 2011, Ms. Allen has excelled as a strategic sales account executive at Equinix in the years since.

Active with the Sierra Club and the ASPCA, Ms. Allen is a multi-year President’s Club winner with strong leadership skills. A standout professional, she has been rated highly by all peers and management for her loyalty, honesty and extremely high work ethic. Likewise, she is a true team player with a large set of strategic contacts across many high tech industries. A recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, Ms. Allen was a secretary for Phi Sigma Sigma from 1978 to 1979 and was selected for inclusion in the 25th edition of Who’s Who in the West, as well as numerous editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.

Ms. Allen’s career highlight that has stood out the most is being a mentor to her colleagues, their children and her family, all in the sense of their education and life. Additionally, she has been a mentor at Temple University to students by giving them ideas. Ms. Allen does the work for the new hires and serves as a speaker to them.
