Since 2025, Shirley O. Bezzubikoff has overseen the comprehensive process for handling trial data at Crinetics Pharmaceuticals Inc. as the company’s senior manager of clinical data management. In this capacity, she is involved in every step of data oversight, from protocol development to database lock and regulatory submission. Ms. Bezzubikoff’s responsibilities include collaborating with clinicians and research sites to recruit patients, designing and maintaining databases, ensuring data accuracy, and adhering to stringent standards set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other global regulatory agencies. She is particularly proud of her ability to lead teams through complex studies, including global phase three trials, and finds deep fulfillment in witnessing the positive impact that new medications have on patients’ lives.
Prior to joining Crinetics Pharmaceuticals, Ms. Bezzubikoff worked in a number of roles with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. across more than 15 years. She first became affiliated with Regeneron as an administrative assistant in 2008, before being promoted to clinical data management associate, clinical data manager, senior clinical data manager and, finally, manager of clinical data management. During this period, Ms. Bezzubikoff gained vital experience in managing large-scale clinical trials and further developed her leadership skills. She also built insight into new therapeutic areas, particularly endocrinology, expanding her expertise from her previous focus on general medicine.
Before entering the pharmaceutical sector, Ms. Bezzubikoff held the role of administrative assistant at The Scienomics Group from 2005 to 2007, supporting medical communications projects and honing her organizational skills. Her early professional experience includes time as a teller manager with The Bank of New York Mellon, where she first demonstrated her leadership potential while supervising staff.
Born in Peru, Ms. Bezzubikoff immigrated to the United States in 1996 and began her career with entry-level positions in factories and retail stores. These formative years were marked by her perseverance in overcoming language barriers and adapting to a new culture — challenges that instilled resilience and a strong work ethic that have come to define her professional journey.
As part of her commitment to advancing in her career and improving her life, Ms. Bezzubikoff sought a strong education after establishing herself in the U.S. She obtained an associate degree in international business from SUNY Westchester Community College in 2002. Subsequently, she earned a bachelor’s degree in international business and finance from Iona University in 2004.
Throughout her life, Ms. Bezzubikoff has been dedicated to continuous learning and professional development. Since 2014, she has been an active member of the Society for Clinical Data Management, participating in annual conferences and ongoing training programs that keep her abreast of emerging trends in the field, such as artificial intelligence.
Reflecting on her career trajectory, Ms. Bezzubikoff considers her progression from administrative assistant to managing clinical trials among her most significant accomplishments. She recalls leading her first independent phase one clinical trial as a pivotal moment that affirmed her capabilities in research operations — a milestone that continues to inspire her pursuit of excellence. Ms. Bezzubikoff attributes her success to an unwavering drive and determination that have propelled her advancement from administrative roles to senior management positions. She is motivated by a desire to provide a better life for her children and is dedicated to self-improvement, both personally and professionally.
A volunteer within her local community, Ms. Bezzubikoff is also deeply involved in civic activities. Most notably, she has served as a board member for Hispanic Women in Action of Westchester since 2025. This nonprofit organization supports women-owned small businesses across diverse industries, including cosmetics, farming, automotive and candle-making. As a board member, Ms. Bezzubikoff helps facilitate financial literacy training and business management workshops tailored to the unique needs of the independent entrepreneurs within the local Hispanic community.
Ms. Bezzubikoff shares her life with her partner and fiancé, George Vlamis, as well as her two children, Oleg and Ilari. Outside of work, she enjoys participating in Zumba exercises, taking long walks in nature, painting and traveling.
