Sarah A. Mitchell, PMP, has excelled as the vice president of professional services and support at Smart Solutions International since 2025, where she oversees a team of five management personnel and approximately 22 consultants. In this capacity, she is responsible for implementing four specialized products across a diverse public sector client base, managing profit and loss, and ensuring the delivery margins of professional services. Her present position also involves aligning with sales and product teams to run a professional services organization that delivers software-as-a-service technology to public sector clients. Ms. Mitchell’s expertise in enterprise resource planning, professional services leadership, software-as-a-service delivery, public sector implementations, organizational transformation, project management office development, operational excellence and cross-functional alignment has been instrumental in her ability to drive results and foster innovation within her organization.

Prior to joining Smart Solutions International, Ms. Mitchell served as practice experience manager for enterprise resource planning at Grant Thornton Advisors LLC from 2022 to 2025. In this role, she supported large-scale enterprise resource planning initiatives and strengthened delivery operations by optimizing processes and enhancing client engagement strategies. Ms. Mitchell’s leadership contributed to the successful execution of complex projects that improved operational efficiency for clients.

From 2020 to 2022, Ms. Mitchell was appointed as vice president of the enterprise resource planning practice at Evergreen Healthcare Partners. Ms. Mitchell previously worked as the director of the project management office at ROI Healthcare Solutions LLC from 2019 to 2020. In this post, she established governance frameworks and delivery standards that significantly improved project performance and client outcomes. Ms. Mitchell’s efforts resulted in the creation of a standardized methodology that elevated the organization’s operational maturity within a remarkably short timeframe.

From 2018 to 2019, Ms. Mitchell was the senior project manager at Avaap, where she managed critical projects focused on enterprise resource planning deployments for healthcare organizations. Her ability to coordinate cross-functional teams ensured timely delivery and high-quality results.

Ms. Mitchell found success in multiple posts at Infor, advancing from a senior project director to a hypercare engagement executive and, ultimately, the director of release certification and enterprise release management between 2014 and 2018. In her first position, she led the first Canadian payroll implementation on a newly released enterprise resource planning platform—an industry-first initiative that required navigating complex regulatory requirements and integrating an untested product across development, product and client operations teams. This groundbreaking deployment established a new benchmark for future implementations and earned her multiple awards at Infor in recognition of her leadership, innovation and ability to deliver success in high-risk environments.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Mitchell owned and operated Sarah Sets the Table, a catering business that showcased her creativity and passion for culinary arts while providing catering services within her local community. In addition to her primary responsibilities, she has supported local initiatives through the Fort Worth chapter of the Project Management Institute since 2002 and the National Society of Leadership and Success since 2019.

Ms. Mitchell’s impressive academic background has been foundational to her achievements. She initially earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Barat College of DePaul University in Lake Forest, Illinois in 2002. She subsequently graduated with a Master of Science in operations and project management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020. Ms. Mitchell further refined her skills through her credentials as a project management professional from the Project Management Institute and her certification from the completion of the Infor Sales Academy: Value Selling program with MEDDPICC Foundation in 2026.

Throughout her career, Ms. Mitchell has attributed her success to strong emotional intelligence and an ability to bring clarity and structure to complex environments. She is recognized for transforming uncertainty into organized processes while uniting teams around shared goals and delivery expectations. Her transparent leadership style—grounded in honesty, accountability and open communication—has enabled teams to address challenges directly and maintain alignment even under pressure. Ms. Mitchell’s accomplishments have been honored with several accolades, including recognition as the Project Manager of the Quarter at Infor and the Most Valuable Player Award at Infor in 2015.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Mitchell aims to expand professional services within her organization while positioning its methodology as a leading force in the sector. She is interested in exploring opportunities beyond enterprise resource planning into other areas of professional services and software-as-a-service applications not exclusively tied to enterprise systems. Ultimately she aspires to achieve a senior vice president or C-suite role as she continues pursuing career growth.
