Living a truly joyful life, Sandra Cobb Grady, ThD, was proudest of helping people get to places they did not think was possible when she taught them. Based in Fairfax, Virginia, she currently serves as the owner and an instructor at Grady Studies since 1975, and the founder and director of the Virginia Prayer Network since 1990 and the Master’s Keys since 2002, as well as a consultant for StarZone. She previously served as a schoolteacher and counselor in the States of California, Connecticut and Arkansas from 1965 to 1994. In addition to this tenure, Dr. Grady is an international speaker and biblical counselor since 1990, the prayer coordinator of Well Builders in Aledo, Texas, since 1991, and intercessional counselor, mid-Atlantic director and coordinator of the Eagles Team since 1998. She is also an instructor at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, since 2000 and a national advisory board member of the U.S. Strategic Prayer Network in Colorado Springs, Colorado, since 2003. Since 2005, she serves the National Council on Government Intercessions and as an advisory board member of the International Leadership Embassy.

Prior to the start of her professional career, Dr. Grady pursued a formal education at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Science in business and English education in 1963 and a Master of Science in counseling and education in 1971. She then attended the Wagner Leadership Institute in Colorado Springs, which trains men and women for leadership positions in the nuclear church and the extended church, where she attained a ThD in 2000. Since graduating, Dr. Grady maintains involvement with numerous organizations related to her field including the National Federation of Music Teachers and the International Coalition of Apostolic Leaders (ICAL), which is designed to connect apostles’ wisdom and resources in order that each member can function more strategically, combine their efforts globally and effectively accelerate the advancement of the Kingdom of God into every sphere of society.

A Marquis Distinguished Humanitarian, Dr. Grady’s legacy would be to leave a place for others to come home to. She helped many people and was called the “away from home mama.” Currently, Dr. Grady has Parkinson’s disease and is focusing on what the Lord tells her to do. She is working on something for her grandchildren so they don’t lose contact with one another, and has over 200 names with three generations. The other thing that she has been doing is giving hope where it is needed in her ministry by giving out programs. She is also writing and doing music for public broadcasting.

Dr. Grady is especially proud of her two sons and six grandchildren. Her eldest son, Dan, is the director of engineering at Microsoft. Two of her granddaughters are actresses, including Sydney, who is in high school and did Broadway, and Brianna, who is in junior high school. Another granddaughter, Allison, is married to Nick and works at Duke University in New Orleans. Dr. Grady’s other grandchildren include Libby, who is finishing up a degree in two or three majors and doing business management in Pennsylvania, and Parker, who is majoring in music and computer engineering at Western State University and is in the jazz band there, performing several times at the Lincoln Center in New York and the Duke Center in Chicago. He has also won national prizes.
