With over a decade of experience, Sade M. Beaulieu, LPC-S, CRC, NCC, has established herself as a professional in the field of counseling. Since 2020, she has served as the chief executive officer of Overcome Counseling, where she is committed to providing accommodations for students with disabilities and ensuring equal access to educational opportunities. She supervises licensed professional counselor associates, offering mentorship and guidance to help them develop their counseling skills and professional identity. Additionally, she manages documentation, billing, and insurance while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards to protect client confidentiality and data integrity.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Beaulieu served as an accessibility counselor at San Jacinto College from 2019 to 2023. From 2016 to 2019, she worked with Texas Workforce Solutions Vocational Rehabilitation Services under the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, now part of the Health and Human Services Commission in the State of Texas. In these roles, she assisted individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment goals.

Ms. Beaulieu’s career began in 2014 as a substance abuse counselor at Bridge House/Grace House. She also held a similar position at Colonial Management Group LP Company from 2015 to 2016 before transitioning to a vocational rehabilitation counselor role with the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in 2015. Her expertise spans anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger management, substance abuse, and disabilities. Additionally, she dedicates her time as a member of the American Counseling Association, Louisiana Counseling Association, National Board for Certified Counselors, and Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.

Ms. Beaulieu laid a solid academic foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in rehabilitation services from Southern University and Agricultural & Mechanical College at Baton Rouge in 2012, followed by a Master of Health Sciences in rehabilitation counseling from the Health Sciences Center at Louisiana State University in 2014. She also holds certifications as a certified rehabilitation counselor through the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, a national certified counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors, and a licensed professional counselor supervisor in both Texas and Louisiana.

Reflecting on her path, Ms. Beaulieu’s journey into counseling was driven by a desire to help others, initially sparked by her coursework in psychology during nursing school. This led her to pivot from nursing to rehabilitation counseling, motivated by a commitment to serve marginalized communities and address the lack of representation among therapists. She attributes her success to her dedication to continuous learning and proactive outreach. In the coming years, she aims to expand her practice by providing clinical supervision to her supervisees and mentoring them into skilled clinicians. Additionally, she plans to open a new practice through collaboration with like-minded partners, creating a group practice that enhances service offerings.
