As the principal of Emerald Blue Advisors in Laguna Hills, California, since 2012, Rola Hajeb, MBA, RFC, has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Her professional journey began with American Express Financial Advisors in 1997, where she garnered experience in asset accumulation for retirement, financial planning, and other financial services. After five years, she sold her practice with the company and established her own consulting firm, Spectrum Financial Consulting, providing guidance to investment advisory firms and helping them to form efficient, productive strategies for investment.
Always striving for more and pushing herself to leave her comfort zone, Ms. Hajeb took a leap of faith in 2012 and launched Emerald Blue Advisors, transitioning into working as a fiduciary while staying committed to maintaining transparency and integrity in all her endeavors. Through her company, Ms. Hajeb has built a strong reputation and established proven credibility in her field. She relishes interacting with clients and helping them to protect all their financial interests.
Ms. Hajeb, known for her humility as much as her expertise, ascribes her success to maintaining this key interpersonal quality. She recognizes that she will never know everything and refuses to let her ego get in the way of managing her business by always promoting a cooperative work environment. Further, her passion for serving her clients and commitment to continual learning and growth informs her approach to conflict resolution in the workplace She knows that her most valuable assets are her team members, without whom she cannot achieve her professional goals. Ms. Hajeb stresses the importance of learning from others around her and is committed to improving herself and her company every day. In her early pursuit of excellence, she matriculated at The University of Utah, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in medical technology in 1986. Three years later, she graduated from Westminster University with a Master of Business Administration. Alongside her formal degrees, Ms. Hajeb completed her Series 65 Examination through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and is a registered financial consultant (RFC).
In addition to excelling with Emerald Blue Advisors, Ms. Hajeb has been lauded for her written work, authoring “Blind Sided: Facing the Financial Realities of Traditional Retirement” in 2023. She was a guest on the financial talk show “Right on the Money” for an episode titled “Redefining Retirement: A New Era of Expectations.” For her professional achievements, Ms. Hajeb has been recognized with numerous awards and honors. As a six-time recipient of the Women of Achievement in the Financial Industry Award, she also received a Mercury Award and a Quality of Advice President’s Recognition Award from her former employer, American Express Financial Advisors with Ameriprise Financial Inc. To give back to her industry and share her expertise, she contributes as a volunteer instructor on financial awareness with the Society for Financial Awareness.
Ms. Hajeb sees her office at Emerald Blue Advisors as a testament to her dedication to serving clients, as the space is intentionally warm and welcoming. Striving to make everyone feel at home, she has built many long-lasting professional relationships. She is incredibly thankful to her assistant, with whom she has worked for more than 15 years. Together, they make an incredible team, and their clients benefit from their combined efforts. Most important, Ms. Hajeb is extremely proud of her two sons. She has worked hard to provide for them and serve as a positive influence in their lives, and she is grateful for the constant joy and pride they bring into her life. Ms. Hajeb cherishes moments with her family and friends, and, in her leisure time, enjoys traveling, the great outdoors, and staying active by hiking, biking, and skiing.
