After accepting the Lord as her savior, Rev. Maryann Berry began a career in ministry, culminating in her current roles as a pastor and the dean of the School of Biblical Studies at the John 3:16 Christian Center in Union Vale, New York, of which she has been affiliated since 1991. Additionally, she has been active as the host of the Becoming a Woman of God Women’s Conference since 2006 and the co-host of the Christian TV broadcast “Faith for Today” since 2009, as well as the co-host of another Christian radio broadcast from 2005 to 2009. Apart from her work in ministry, Rev. Berry works as the local director of New Life Diet Free Life, of which she is certified as a coach.
Previously, Rev. Berry has gained valuable expertise in the industry as a minister of the Christian Faith Center in Bloomfield, New Jersey, from 1988 to 1991. She further flourished as a children’s music director, an elder and a teacher with the Bible College of Faith Fellowship Ministries. During the late 1970s, Rev. Berry further flourished as the co-owner of Mid-Hudson Alarm Company.
An ordained minister through Covenant Ministries from 1992 to 2014, Rev. Berry obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, cum laude, from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 1975, as well as certifications through Faith Fellowship World in Sayreville, New Jersey, in 1985 and the School of Biblical Studies in Poughkeepsie in 1996. She retains her professional alignment with the Association of Faith Churches and Ministries in Willmar, Minnesota, since 2016. Over the years, Rev. Berry has dedicated her time and resources to her community via Dutchess County Healthy Families from 2003 to 2007, the local chapter of the American Legion from 2005 to 2013 and Dutchess County’s Annual Day of Prayer Breakfast since 2006. She has also served the Diet Free Life University as a local director since 2010, a certified coach since 2011 and facilitator since 2014.
Due to her considerable expertise in the field, Rev. Berry authored “Answered Prayer” in 1984 and “Why Are You Sleeping? A Spiritual Look at End Times” in 2018. For her outstanding accomplishments, she has been honored in such publications as Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World. Rev. Berry attributes her success to keeping God first in her life, and the love and devotion of her husband and family, as well as her mentor Rev. Jim Kaseman. She wants to share what she has learned about being in a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and, looking toward the future, she aims to experience the continued growth and success of her career. The day she accepted the Lord as her Savior was a turning point because she saw the reality of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Rev. Berry is married to her loving husband of 45 years, Wayne Robert Berry, with whom she has raised two wonderful children, Maria and John. She has been known to enjoy reading, hiking, playing the piano and guitar, and writing in her spare time.
