Marianne Zeltner embarked on her professional endeavors as a high school sports teacher in her home country of Switzerland after receiving a Master of Arts in sports from a local Swiss university. Finding her true calling in real estate, however, she obtained a variety of real estate certifications, including as an international property specialist, a resort and second property specialist, a graduate of the Realtor Institute of the National Association of Realtors, and a real estate broker in the state of Florida. Ms. Zeltner began her real estate career in Taiwan, where she lived for seven years, and since then, she has lived and worked in numerous countries across five continents.
In 2002, Ms. Zeltner discovered southwest Florida and fell in love with the area. Purchasing a property to serve as a vacation home, she found herself visiting her Florida home on a quarterly basis, where she enjoyed the climate and the fresh fruits that she didn’t get in her native Switzerland. After a decade of going back and forth, in 2013, Ms. Zeltner made a permanent move to the United States and now proffers her expertise as a realtor in Fort Myers, Florida.
Today, Ms. Zeltner is the owner, broker and realtor for Swiss Property Management and Zema Consulting, bringing with her more than 20 years of expertise in sales, purchases, relocations, investment properties, vacation homes, leasing and property management. She also serves as a broker associate and real estate agent for Sellstate Prime Realty. In order to remain up to date with new developments in her field, Ms. Zeltner maintains membership with such professional organizations as the International Project Management Association and the Royal Palm Coast Realtor Association.
With her skills being enriched by her familiarity with different cultures from around the world, Ms. Zeltner has made a name for herself as a self-sufficient and versatile professional who can adapt to a range of situations. She notes that her proficiency in multiple languages has been invaluable when working with clients of different nationalities. Attributing much of her success to her honesty, Ms. Zeltner prioritizes developing solid, trusting relationships with her clients. It is important to her that her clients feel comfortable and confident through every step of the home- or property-buying process.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Zeltner hopes to continue on in her current work, helping people buy their ideal homes and properties. Her motto is “Helping you buy or sell — start to finish.” Ms. Zeltner hopes to cultivate a reputation and legacy as someone who is honest, open-minded, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and highly adaptable and flexible.
To young and aspiring real estate professionals, Ms. Zeltner would advise becoming familiar with the areas they want to sell in. Learn the geography, the roads, the lifestyles and belief systems, and do research into what you don’t know so that you can be knowledgeable about what you are selling. This is particularly important if you want to work internationally, because it is vital to remember that not everyone lives the way Americans do, and people will have different wants or needs based on their culture.
Born in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, a town known for making Rolex watches, Ms. Zeltner is the proud mother of one daughter, Jennifer Zuleika Zeltner, who has her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Jennifer still lives in Switzerland, and Ms. Zeltner also has family who live in South America.
