Margaret A. Harrison, MBA, is the knowledgeable and trusted founder and principal of Harrison Data and Information Services, established in 2021 and based in Michigan. Her company helps health care sector entities optimize efficiency through data analysis, streamlining operations, enhancing marketing strategies, expanding outreach efforts, and boosting sales revenue.

Ms. Harrison actively shares her expertise at health care conferences and networking events and has expanded her scope to include the environmental sector, leveraging data for sustainable practices and initiatives. She employs a comprehensive approach, analyzing all facets of an organization to develop cohesive and effective plans for success while proficiently harnessing data and information to inform strategic decision-making, fostering long-term prosperity for organizations. With experience spanning enterprises across various industries, including small family-owned businesses, Ms. Harrison recognizes the indispensable role of data in enhancing operational efficiency.

Ms. Harrison began her career as a conflicts analyst and researcher at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from 1998 to 2000. She later held management positions in risk management at the same firm. Subsequently, Ms. Harrison worked as a grants manager and resource center director at the Wellness House in Hinsdale, Illinois, securing approximately $250,000 annually through grant writing. She was a consultant at Harrison Consulting from 2007 to 2009 and was a project manager on contract with Quadel Consulting Corporation from 2009 to 2010. Ms. Harrison became the director of database management and analysis services in the membership department at the American Osteopathic Association between 2010 and 2013 and then worked as a licensing account manager at the American Hospital Association from 2013 to 2020, where she won the Annual Sales Award in 2016.

Holding a Master of Business Administration in leadership and finance from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, Ms. Harrison previously graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and earned an associate degree in journalism and computer science from Stephens College. Most recently, she secured a certification in artificial intelligence from Coursera in 2023.

Alongside her academic and professional accomplishments, Ms. Harrison is highly civically engaged, volunteering with the West Michigan Environmental Action Council, reviewing scholarships for the University of Missouri-Columbia, and serving on the board of trustees for the Park Ridge Public Library. Further, she is the director of outreach for the Association of Independent Information Professionals. Ms. Harrison’s working motto is “Business, strategy, and growth through operations and development.” As a part of this multifaceted approach, she advises women seeking professional success to help each other and build supportive communities.
