Who's Who of Professional Women

Linda MillerLinda Miller is the owner of Peewee Grooming, a full-service grooming, boarding, and day care facility for dogs and cats. She began her career in animal care as a veterinary assistant and had soon adopted 11 rescued pets. Realizing that she could not sustain the pace of her adoptions, Ms. Miller began to explore other avenues to care for animals, after which she discovered a talent for grooming.

In 2006, Ms. Miller opened Peewee Grooming, initially operating out of her basement with a limited range of services. Since then, her business has expanded to a 1,300 square-foot independent facility offering grooming for dogs and cats of all sizes, day care services and overnight boarding. As one of the most popular groomers in the area, Ms. Miller is responsible for styling 15 to 20 dogs a day. A typical day for Ms. Miller starts early, and includes walking and feeding the animals that will be serviced. She then goes on to bathe and shave the pets throughout workday. A family owned business, she prides herself on treating her clients’ pets as one of her own and aims to provide the best level of service possible.

Peewee Grooming has dozens of five-star ratings and glowing testimonials, has been awarded a Dahlonega Nugget Award for Best Groomer and was rated the Best of Dahlonega for seven consecutive years. She attributes her success to hard work, dedication to her clientele and perseverance. Additionally, she credits her success to her mentor Donna Kewowski, a groomer at company in which Ms. Miller worked at in the past, who constantly motivated and inspired her. Looking toward the future, she aims to continue to expand upon her business, and hopes to move to a larger facility with more room for boarding and day care.
