Recently honored by her professional peers with the coveted Excellence in Health Care Award at the 2023 HEaL Conference, Kelly Tallaksen is the owner, a board-certified hypnotist, and hypnosis instructor at Hearts in Harmony Hypnosis, with offices on Long Island in New York. She also is the prolific and proud author of a variety of published works, including the books “The Voiceless Soul: How to Express and Release Deep Fears of Unworthiness” and “Healing Our Unhealed Parts: Helping the Fragmented Soul Become Whole Again.” Moreover, Dr. Tallaksen produced a film titled “The Voice Within” based on the first chapter of her book “The Voiceless Soul: Unveiling and Alleviating Deep Fears of Unworthiness.”
Previously a paralegal for 25 years, Dr. Tallaksen opened Hearts in Harmony in 2010 specializing in hypnosis, metaphysical sciences, and her own unique Soul Level healing modality. More specifically, she explains that she employs spiritual methodologies to facilitate the healing of clients afflicted by generational trauma. Dr. Tallaksen’s approach guides individuals towards transformation, integrating their highest consciousness and illuminating their connection to a greater whole. This realization, she says, imbues them with newfound strength and courage to access the profound aspects of themselves that they may have long overlooked.
As a respected, longtime expert in her field, published author, and speaker, Dr. Tallaksen holds numerous certifications in relevant disciplines from official licensing authorities, including the National Guild of Hypnotists, of which she is president of the Long Island Chapter. In addition, she is a member of the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists, the Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women, the American Metaphysical Doctors Association, and the International Association of Top Professionals. In a recent achievement, Dr. Tallaksen has earned a doctorate in metaphysical hypnosis and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in holistic life counseling, both from the University of Sedona. Moreover, she has been nominated and accepted to receive an award from the International Association of Top Professionals to be presented at the prestigious gala event at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, in December 2024.
Dr. Tallaksen is one of five siblings and the mother of two daughters. Her ongoing mission, personally, in her practice, and as an instructor, is to spread an understanding of generational trauma and liberate people from a fabricated self-concept, frequently rooted in feelings of unworthiness. The objective is to embolden individuals to transcend the constraints of the ego, nurturing a life that resonates more with the heart than the intellect, a shift that diminishes the ceaseless quest for external validation. Dr. Tallaksen asserts that harnessing the inherent strength of the heart empowers individuals to unlock their capacity for love, which, in turn, leads to a profound sense of being loved.
