With more than two decades of experience, Katie Boswell has distinguished herself as a leading figure in information technology with a specialization in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence security services. Her career has been dedicated to assisting large Fortune 100 enterprises in developing and transforming their cybersecurity strategies.
Ms. Boswell joined KPMG in 2014, progressing within her first year to both the manager level and the position of cybersecurity services operations leader, which she held for more than three years. In 2018, she advanced to become a director of cybersecurity services, and, in 2022, she took on the position of managing director. Subsequently, she was asked to establish and lead KPMG’s artificial intelligence security services, where she plays a crucial role in helping clients build and maintain trust in their AI systems. Ms. Boswell takes pride in collaborating closely with clients, addressing unprecedented cybersecurity challenges through innovative partnerships. Her strategic emphasis on listening to and understanding clients’ needs has been pivotal to her success. By combining technical expertise with business acumen, she empowers her clients to expand and scale operations effectively.
Ms. Boswell began her professional journey as a systems administrator at Razorfish from 2000 to 2002, followed by her role as an IT manager from 2002 to 2003 at NetAid , a nonprofit organization established by CISO Systems and the United Nations. These early positions were instrumental in providing her with a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of IT infrastructure and systems management. She then expanded her expertise by supporting LBMC, a regional accounting and finance firm and a Software as a Service provider, thereby enhancing both her technical skills and business acumen. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to personal growth, attending and facilitating trainings across various cybersecurity domains.
Ms. Boswell’s success is built on the mentorship and support she received from sponsors, who taught her the principles of servant leadership and client service. Beyond her technical expertise, she is committed to fostering the development of professionals in the technology sector. Passionate about giving back to the community, she volunteers on the advisory boards of The Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania, Shared Assessments, and Identiverse. Additionally, she supports cybersecurity professionals through her dedication to mentoring.
