Jude Fogarty-Stahmer, MT (ASCP), has more than 40 years under her belt in sales and business development focused on the health care and medical diagnostic industries. With her impressive background in molecular research and clinical laboratory work, she excels as the business development manager for her consulting firm, Fogart-Stahmer Consulting, launched in 2018.
Alongside this role, she has been the business development manager for Intelligent Solutions since 2020. Ms. Fogarty-Stahmer believes her success is the result of her full commitment, relentless hard work, and untamed passion. Throughout her career, she has maintained an unmatched tenacity and perseverance that have been the driving force behind her professional accomplishments. Having studied biology and chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1970, Ms. Fogarty-Stahmer’s areas of expertise include molecular biology, mRNA, DNA, and related topics. Before being called back to work in her field due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, she had retired from it specifically and spent several years self-employed, working in business development and molecular diagnostician.
During her decades of experience, Ms. Fogarty-Stahmer worked as a hematology sales specialist for Sysmex America for more than 15 years, concurrently working as an instrument specialist and hematology sales specialist for Baxter from 1982 to 1998. She garnered experience as a strategic account manager for Roche Diagnostics and as an account manager for Bayer AG. After working for Roche Diagnostics from 1998 to 2001, she returned to her role in 2006, ultimately departing the company in 2008. Following these roles, she became the regional territory manager for Ipsogen Inc. in 2009. Ms. Fogarty-Stahmer’s career at Ipsogen was marked by multiple professional highlights, including her pivotal role in the introduction of a specific tumor marker for a blood disorder into the market. Her expertise in molecular biology and clinical diagnostics enabled her to bring many new products to the market, including cardiac instruments. Across her broad experience, she primarily dealt with medical and laboratory instruments, focusing on the sale of medical diagnostics.
Ms. Fogarty-Stahmer was an early adopter in the field of molecular research. Her contributions were pivotal in the discipline’s infancy. Collaborating with a French company, she established a network of leading molecular researchers and independently built a database related to blood cancers and solid tumors. Owing to her diverse laboratory experience and involvement in U.S. Food and Drug Administration applications, Ms. Fogarty-Stahmer developed an extensive network that supported her career ambitions. She remained committed to continual growth and development throughout her professional trajectory and is a certified medical technologist (MT) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the largest professional membership organization for pathologists and laboratory professionals in the world. In recognition of her excellence, she received a Technical Sales Representative of the Year award. In 2013, Ms. Fogarty-Stahmer worked for QIAGEN as a market development manager, after which she was self-employed as a consultant from 2015 to 2022.
Sought-after for her knowledge in her professional community, Ms. Fogarty-Stahmer has maintained membership with the American Association of University Women and the American Society for Clinical Pathology. She worked for her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, for more than a decade. As a former member of the institution’s College of Letters and Sciences, she now holds the designation of chairman emeritus. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and stays active by sailing and skiing.
