JENNIFER NEY

Jennifer Ney, MS, CPTM, has established herself as a distinguished leader in training and development, bringing 18 years of expertise to her profession. As training manager at Nestlé Purina PetCare since 2014, she manages a team of seven professionals responsible for the research, design, development, implementation, facilitation and return-on-investment measurement of tools, resources, technology and training programs for employee development. Her responsibilities include overseeing onboarding, leadership initiatives, system implementations, compliance, technical instruction, process improvement and strategic planning. Ms. Ney also manages administrative operations for the organization’s learning management systems, including POKA, Matterport and Grow.

Ms. Ney has built partnerships with community organizations and educational institutions to support science, technology, engineering and mathematics programming and strengthen the future manufacturing workforce pipeline. Her fiscal stewardship is evident in her management of the factory training budget and her success in identifying cost savings through grants and government programs, achieving over $105,000 in savings in 2024 and $107,618 in 2025.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Ney served as an adult education teacher with Middle Peninsula Regional Adult Career Education in 2022. She previously worked at Nestlé Purina PetCare as a training coordinator from 2014 to 2015 and as a training specialist from 2015 to 2017. From 2013 to 2014, she was active training manager for professional development at AWI where she led initiatives focused on workforce advancement. As a learning analyst at Corporate University Xchange from 2012 to 2013, Ms. Ney analyzed learning strategies to optimize talent development outcomes.

Ms. Ney excelled throughout her earlier career at Belco Community Credit Union. where she was appointed as a human resources and talent development support specialist from 2007 to 2008 and as training coordinator from 2008 to 2012. She began her journey there as a consumer products and services support representative from 2005 to 2007. At Radisson Penn Harris Hotel and Convention Center from 1995 to 1997, Ms. Ney worked as sales and catering office administrator where her dedication garnered her recognition as Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year.

Ms. Ney has also found success in a number of positions with Rohrer Bus Service, Turkey Hill Mini-Markets, Amazon, Giant Food, Kocher’s Independent Grocers Alliance, and the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, among others, between 1993 and 2018. Her creative contributions include being featured as a contributing author on “The Book of Road-Tested Activities” published by American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) in 2011, a newsletter co-editor for Central Pennsylvania Chapter Association for Training & Development (ATD) from 2010 and 2013, and a mentor on video for “Module Six: Academic and Career Plan Pursuing Opportunities” produced by Stafford County Public Schools with Jason Learning in 2023. Ms. Ney has likewise supported those in need through posts with  such civic-minded organizations as the Cornerstone Christian Church, the Duncannon Council of Churches, the Food Marketing Institute, the Susquenita Band Boosters, and the Wiconisco Fire Company 23, to name a few.

Notably, Ms. Ney was celebrated as Woman of the Year by the Virginia Chapter of Women in Manufacturing® in 2025—her most distinguished accomplishment. At Nestlé Purina PetCare, she was nominated for the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Annette C. Morris Ambassador Award in 2024 and received multiple Talls Awards between 2015 and 2022. Her tenure with Belco Community Credit Union was also marked by receipt of the Vision Quest Employee Award in both 2007 and 2008.

Ms. Ney initially pursued an education at the Pennsylvania State University, completing coursework in advanced management in 2009 before continuing his undergraduate business studies at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. She subsequently earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior and applied psychology from Albright College in 2016. She later graduated with a master’s degree in organizational development and leadership from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 2021. In the years that followed, Ms. Ney has obtained various certifications from Training Industry Inc., Training Magazine, Kirkpatrick Partners LLC, Crucial Learning, and LinkedIn.

Ms. Ney remains committed to leaving a meaningful legacy inspiring others through determination and dedication, even when personal sacrifice is required. Her further accolades include a Leadership Scholarship from the Harrisburg Chapter of Credit Unions and the Pennsylvania State University in 2008, the William Bliss Memorial Scholarship from the HACC Foundation in 2009, the Mary Sachs Business Scholarship from the HACC Foundation in 2012, and the Pollock Foundation Award from the HACC Foundation in 2012 and 2013.

Ms. Ney attributes her professional accomplishments to deep intellectual curiosity—a consistent commitment to inquiry that has fueled her willingness to ask thoughtful questions—and an openness that has allowed her continued growth despite uncertainty or adversity. Her passion for helping others succeed inspired her entry into this field where she remains committed to supporting individuals’ growth into their best selves.
