Jayla Lombardo

With more than a decade of experience in the legal profession, Jayla R. Lombardo, Esq., has established herself as a skilled attorney. Since 2022, she has excelled at her firm, Lombardo Law PLLC, in Hilton, New York, specializing in civil and real estate litigation. In this capacity, she engages with clients through multiple channels, addressing complaints, negotiating settlement agreements, and providing representation in court.

Before launching her practice, Ms. Lombardo developed her expertise at Osborn Reed & Burke LLP and at Davidson Fink LLP. She began her career as an associate attorney at Adams Bell Adams PC. Her legal experience also includes internships at the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office and the New York State Attorney General’s Office in Buffalo.

Ms. Lombardo dedicates her time to various organizations and civic engagement, including serving as vice president of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Young Professional Advisory Board, and as an active member of the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys. Additionally, she contributes to the Monroe County Bar Association as community service co-chair and teen court liaison. Beyond her legal career, since 2013, she has created and administered a library program for Alternatives for Battered Women and is co-founder of the Love, Lorenzo Memorial Foundation.

Ms. Lombardo laid a strong academic foundation, earning dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in communications, journalism, and political science from St. John Fisher College in 2009. She went on to complete coursework at Cooley Law School in 2010 before earning her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2012. She is a certified forensic interviewer and is admitted to practice law through the New York State Bar Association and the Monroe County Bar Association.

Ms. Lombardo has made notable contributions to her field, including authoring “Prisoner-on-Prisoner Sexual Harassment: The Prevalence, Severity, and Lack of Legal Recourse,” published by the Buffalo Journal of Gender Law and Social Policy in 2011. Her dedication to excellence was recognized with the Law Student Bar Association Achievement Award from the New York State Bar Association at the University at Buffalo Law School in 2012.

Looking ahead, Ms. Lombardo aspires to expand her firm while maintaining a strong commitment to pro bono work. She approaches life with a flexible mindset, embracing opportunities as they arise rather than planning extensively for the future. In her personal life, she takes pride in skillfully balancing her professional commitments with family responsibilities. A native of Rochester, New York, she treasures time with her children, Louie and Dominic, and stepson, Luca, while honoring the memory of her late son, Lorenzo, through her foundation work. Her hobbies include reading, crafting, playing the flute in her church choir, and indulging her love of baseball.
