A passion for healing minds and strengthening families has shaped the remarkable career of Janice Anne Hall, PhD, MMFT, whose work spans the fields of psychology, neuropsychology, counseling and family therapy. As a provider of counseling and psychotherapy and director of curriculum development and complex case management at TimelyCare, she brings a rare blend of clinical expertise, academic insight and compassionate care to her clients and colleagues. In her dual role, she designs educational initiatives, facilitates therapeutic sessions, supports callers in crisis and contributes to the strategic planning of programs aimed at enhancing mental health services across diverse populations.

Dr. Hall’s academic foundation laid the groundwork for her multifaceted career. She earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. Her pursuit of deeper clinical and research knowledge led her to complete a Doctor of Philosophy in counseling psychology at the University of North Texas. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Children’s Medical Center, further sharpening her diagnostic and therapeutic skills. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Texas, qualifications that underscore her commitment to rigorous training and ethical practice.

Before taking on her leadership role at TimelyCare, Dr. Hall was the executive director of mental health within the organization, where she guided key initiatives and supported the development of clinical teams. She also spent many years as the founder and chief executive officer of Family Christian Resources, a practice offering seminars, therapy, consulting and supervision for graduate students. Her earlier work as executive director of the Richland Hills Counseling Center included oversight of operations, direct clinical care, public seminars and professional mentoring. These roles reflect her deep commitment to both individual healing and the advancement of the mental health field as a whole.

Dr. Hall is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Psychological Association and the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Her clinical and academic interests include resilience in youth, a topic she has explored through international research and seminars, including studies in Kenya and Hungary. A course on character strengths taught by Martin Seligman at the University of Pennsylvania further inspired her ongoing work in this area, shaping her approach to cultivating resilience in both clients and communities.

Dr. Hall’s dedication extends beyond clinical settings. She has been a longstanding board member of Christian Works for Children, an organization that supports grief counseling, adoption and family therapy services. Her contributions to TimelyCare’s publications and program development reflect her commitment to integrating clinical knowledge with practical resources for mental health support.

Dr. Hall credits her enduring success to her faith, resilience and the encouragement of her family. Inspired by her father, a professor emeritus at Texas A&M University, she developed an early love for learning that continues to fuel her work. With each chapter of her career, she remains committed to helping others navigate the complexities of mental health with compassion, insight and unwavering resolve.
