HELENE SINGER CASH

Helene Singer Cash has long been recognized as a driving force in economic development, shaping opportunities that preserve communities while creating pathways for growth. As executive director at the Tennessee Central Economic Authority, she leads economic initiatives across five counties. In this role, she has played a central part in attracting new industry, expanding the regional workforce and fostering long-term economic stability. Her leadership is characterized by a strategic focus on sustainability, ensuring that growth does not compromise the character of the communities she serves.

Ms. Singer Cash completed coursework in business at The University of Tampa and earned an Associate in legal assistant studies from Paralegal Careers. This educational preparation gave her both a practical and analytical framework for addressing challenges in business and community development. She later enhanced her professional standing with a TCEcD certification in economic development from The University of Tennessee System and earned a real estate license from T.R.E.E.S. These credentials have strengthened her ability to guide communities through short-term challenges and long-term planning. Widely respected, Ms. Singer Cash serves as the chairwoman of legislative affairs for the Eastern Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors, known as EMTAR.

Ms. Singer Cash’s work in economic development is complemented by her parallel career in real estate. As a broker with Agee & Johnson, she applies her market expertise to facilitate transactions that support regional expansion and private investment. This combination of roles allows her to bridge the needs of public and private stakeholders, ensuring that growth is coordinated, strategic and mutually beneficial.

Prior to these leadership positions, Ms. Singer Cash developed her professional skills through diverse roles in sales, marketing and operations. She was the executive director of sales marketing and planning at ZENZII in Atlanta, guiding initiatives that elevated brand visibility and widened the company’s market reach. Her experience as economic development director for the city of Lebanon deepened her ability to collaborate with municipal leaders to attract new business and stimulate job creation. She also worked as chief storyteller at Team HSC, highlighting community achievements through narrative, and as the owner of The Crystal Couture Store, honing her entrepreneurial acumen.

Ms. Singer Cash attributes her success to dedication, adaptability and clear goal setting. She has been recognized publicly for her contributions, including in a feature in Lebanon City Lifestyle magazine. Beyond her professional achievements, she is deeply committed to civic and volunteer work, having recently been appointed to the Industrial Development Board of Hartsville in Trousdale County, Tennessee. Moreover, she is on the board of directors for the Wilson County Community Partnership. Further, Ms. Singer Cash is a member of The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture’s Family and Community Education program and contributes to multiple committees with the Lebanon Wilson Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Singer Cash’s prior affiliations further demonstrate her commitment to service. She is a former secretary for the Republican Women of Wilson County and previously served as area vice president for Republican Women on Tennessee. She has served with Rotary International, the United Way of Wilson County, the Wilson County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Historic Lebanon and New Leash on Life USA. She has also supported charitable initiatives such as Camp AcheAway Trivia Night for the Arthritis Foundation. In addition, Ms. Singer Cash has shared her creativity as a contributor for both City Lifestyle magazine and People Style Watch.

Looking to the future, Ms. Singer Cash intends to continue advancing regional development projects, including plans for a large-scale industrial park, while fostering collaboration with state and local agencies. Her career reflects not only professional success but also a lifelong dedication to building stronger, more resilient communities.
