Holding considerable expertise in finance and client relationships, Hannah Peaslee has excelled as the founder and chief executive officer of HP & Co. LLC, a national financial management firm, since 2019. In these roles, she works with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals to manage their portfolios. This includes personal finance and asset management, philanthropic efforts, estate planning, taxes, and the growing and maintaining of legacy wealth. More recently, she partnered to launch the High Net Worth Women Institute in 2021, which focuses on providing women entrepreneurs with financial education, and currently serves as co-founder and chief operating officer. Looking toward the future, Ms. Peaslee hopes to see the growth of HP & Co. as well as the High Net Worth Women Institute so that she can bring her skills and services to an even wider audience.
Ms. Peaslee began her career as a personal banker with the Bank of America Corporation, where she discovered her love of the human-focused side of the finance industry. She subsequently joined the wealth management department of Morgan Stanley, rising through the ranks of the company to become a client service associate, and DLD Accountancy LLP, where she worked with high-net-worth individuals and families. Furthermore, she spent time consulting business owners with The Startup Advantage, which helped entrepreneurs make the jump from employee to owner.
Attributing much of her success to her authenticity, Ms. Peaslee also credits her ambition to help others. She notes the importance of maintaining a good network of fellow professionals in order to provide clients with quality referrals if necessary. Alongside her primary responsibilities, she has contributed her skills to a number of other professional endeavors as an avid supporter and advocate for women in business. She is a professional member of both The W Source and The XX Project and serves on the board of advisers for the women in leadership executive program at the University of California Santa Barbara. Above everything, Ms. Peaslee is continually motivated to help people understand their finances, having witnessed firsthand how even professionals can struggle when they don’t have a good grasp of financial management.
A consummate professional, Ms. Peaslee stands out for her transparency, emphasis on client education and ensuring that her clients understand their finances and feel comfortable and empowered to take control. One particularly memorable moment was helping a client, who had recently increased significantly in net worth, get his finances and estate planning in order before he commenced on extended international travel. It was an incredibly satisfying experience for Ms. Peaslee, and the client was very happy with her work. On a more personal note, she is also very proud of the growth she has achieved over the years, from her early days learning the basics to her development as an expert in financial management, and credits the partnerships she has built with her clients for helping that growth occur.
Ms. Peaslee’s exceptional career is built on a foundation of international education. Achieving her diploma from Nauset Regional High School in 2006, she notably spent a year abroad as an exchange student in Argentina. She went on to matriculate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish in 2011. Now living in Southern California, Ms. Peaslee greatly enjoys the opportunity her choice of locale has given her to practice her language skills. When she isn’t working, Ms. Peaslee spends her free time cultivating her hobbies of pottery and painting, being outdoors, and taking care of her dog, Jameson.
